Baby classes and shower Baby classes are just about done, I have one more on breast feeding tomorrow. Overall I think they were very useful and informative, mostly the Prepared Childbirth class which we both really learned from. I feel a little more confident and prepared.
The baby shower is coming up here on November 1. The ladybug theme for the party seems like it is going to be a lot of fun (not just and excuse to have colors other than pink). I still keep adding things to our Target gift registry as I think of them or as people suggest things. I am looking forward to the party though, its getting close to time that we need to start look at seriously getting some things for when she arrives, its hard to believe that tomorrow is the start of week 30 and the final countdown is almost on.

Today at the Doctor So today was the first of the bi-weekly appointments. Mike went with me so he got to hear the babies heartbeat for the first time. Other than that everything is progressing normally and she is just the right size. Today I also took my glucose test, the drink they made me drink wasn't too much fun, it made my stomach hurt, however I made it through and will get the results at my next appointment in two weeks.
2008-10-05 (27 weeks)
Getting ready for the 3rd trimester This next week will start month 7 and the third trimester, things are going by fast and I hear they will really pick up now. We have started our baby classes too. We have completed two of the for Prepared Childbirth classes and Newborn Care starts next week. So far they have not been too bad and have given us good information on things like how to time contractions, to know when to go to the hospital, etc...
As for me I continue to get bigger but everyone says I don't look as far along as I am. The little girl has started pushing on my ribs and continues to keep wiggling around and kicking her dad in the head when she can. She also responds to the flashlight when we shine it on my stomach (something suggested in our baby class). The baby is getting big enough that even though I am hungry, I can only eat small amounts at a time, there is just not much room. Dinner tends to take me awhile to eat now. The other big news is that Mike and I will be celebrating our one year anniversary this Monday!
2008-09-13 (24 weeks)
Month Six I made my monthly doctor's appointment yesterday and everything is going good. He measured my stomach for the first time. We also heard her little heartbeat pounding away. I asked about the back pain and got some advice to try. Mike is coming home in about five days so he will finally be able to talk to her and see how big I am getting! We also have another ultrasound on Friday so I will be sure to post more pictures and any information that comes along. I have been busy making all sorts fun stuff for the little girl which is up on my blog, next I am going to try and make some clothes. Things are going to start getting really busy though with baby classes starting up soon.
