This week I went to my regular Dr appointment and also had an ultrasound on Friday. At the Dr appointment he checked her heartbeat and measured her and said everything looked good and she was growing at the right pace. He also said that her head was still way down and she was still in position, that he could feel her head and that she had a hard backside that was what was pressing my ribs.
Yesterday at my ultrasound the first thing the tech said when she put the thing to my stomach was, your baby is still breech. We were a little surprised by this given what the Dr has been saying the past few weeks.Turns out the Dr was wrong, the hard thing in my ribs is her hard little head. She is still sitting on my bladder and had her back towards my left side. It was hard to get any good pictures of her since she is quite shushed up in there and she kept her face turned away the whole time. We did however see her little fist swinging around and that she has quite a head of hair. According to the ultrasound she is weighing a little over six pounds at this point and can be expected to put on about half a pound a week, so we are looking at about 7.5 to just over 8 pounds by her due date. However the tech warned us that the ultrasound can be off but about a pound. So other than being breech she is doing really well.
As for the breech part, we will both be going to my next appointment so we can find out what the Dr wants to do. There are a few options but of course we have to work with the Dr. I will probably have another ultrasound next week to see if she has moved. Mike and I are both trying to talk her into it.

Week 35 It is officially week 35, whenever she starts coming out, they wont try to stop her. I went to my weekly appointment yesterday and learned that she has flipped over and is in position to come out, but its not quite time yet, I am still all closed up. The rib pain can now be explained since its her legs are there kicking away at my ribs. She is still getting lots of hiccups and when she moves its much more dramatic looking now. Here at home we are mostly set and ready for her arrival.

Hiccups
In the past few days the baby has discovered the hiccups. I had been waiting for her to get them since I felt her start moving since I heard they were very common. However I never felt them until about a week ago, since then she has been getting them more and more often. From what I have read it is her lungs developing and getting ready for the transition to breathing air. What ever it is it sure feels strange compared to her regular movements, I can’t imagine there is much room for her to do much about them, they certainly make my stomach bounce around!

Week 34 Week 34 is here already! I had a doctors appointment today and will now be going once a week until she arrives. I am feeling pretty good, getting tired a little easier and all of the smoke and ash in the air combined with her pushing on my ribs and lungs has made breathing more of a challenge at times. I asked the dr today about traveling for Thanksgiving and next week he will be doing an exam so if I am effaced to 2 or 3 there will be no travel. If everything is still solid we can go. He told me about a patient of his, from about ten years ago, who had her baby in Stockon on Thanksgiving Day trying to make the same trip. Basically we will see what happens when we go in for our visit next week. The baby is growing and still wiggles like crazy although its starting to get tight in there so her movement is getting less comfortable for me but its still fun to sit and watch her wiggle around.
