Pregnancy Journal

I'm 35 weeks and 5 days. I can't believe the big day is approaching. Finally!! I have not had good sleeps lately. I woke up at 3 am this morning and didn't get back to sleep. Had to call in sick to work. I did manage to get some zzzz's earlier today. I'm hoping I have a good sleep tonight. Nothing was bothering me but for some reason just couldn't get back to sleep. The middle-of-the-night bathroom breaks are regular now!

My Aunt had a shower for me this weekend. It was great and I got lot's of great stuff. It was so nice to see everyone. It was a lot of fun. My work is having a shower for me after the baby is born so that will be nice as well.

Midwife appointment this week went well. The baby is in the perfect spot according to the midwife. She is head down and right in the middle. My belly is measuring right on...35 cm for 35 weeks. It's been bang on each week so that is also a good sign. Heartbeat was in the 130's

So far so good...less than one month away!

Wow, I'm getting a big belly now. It's LARGE. See uploaded photos. I can't imagine getting bigger than this and I have 6 weeks to go...or more! How am I going to stand upright? I did tilt over the other day.... but did not fall so I guess my body is adapting...ha ha..

Midwife appointment went well. Baby must've been sleeping b/c the heartbeat was 130. Usually it's faster than that but it all depends on what the baby is doing. She was just kicking back, I guess. I'm starting to get prepared and bought some diapers. I have to get my stuff organized for the hospital...just in case I go early. Liz gave us the crib and change table so we have to set that up and I'll feel much more organized. Only 3 weeks of work left. Can't wait to be done!! I wonder when our little one will decide she's had enough of the inside life.....

I am still in a fog of disbelief about this pregnancy. I mean…am I really going to have a baby? It still so surreal…I look at my belly and think…how did it get so big…is there really a baby in there…then I get a big THUD in my stomach…it’s real alright! Man, she’s kicking hard these days. Sometimes I think she wants out early. I hope she’s comfortable in there and all that sugar I’m feeding her isn’t keeping her up at night. I’d love to blame my sugar cravings on the baby inside but I’ve always had a sweet tooth. Seven weeks until we meet….
