23 weeks
Oops! I almost missed 23 weeks. I feel good but my back is starting to ache. Hopefully that doesn't get worse but it probably will. I got my hair cut this week (too short!) so I'm hoping my hair will grow really fast in the third trimester like they say! uploaded a new photo!

22 Weeks

22 weeks now and I have had my second cold! I don't get a cold for 5 years then I get two in two weeks. I just got over the cough last week from the last cold. Anyway, it wasn't that bad...except that I got a migraine last Thursday becuase of it. All in all, I survived so I'm not going to complain too much about it.

Baby is doing well. She moving around but not too much. I keep expecting her movement to get stronger but it's still about the same...maybe a little more frequent.

I had my midwife appt last week. The hearbeat was much quieter this time and only 130bpm. She said it's very normal for the heart rate to go up and down...depending on what's she's doing. She also measured my belly which was 20cm...I think...but she said it was about right. I aways feel really good after my midwife appts....just hearing that heartbeat really brightens my day.

I need to take some more belly pics. I'm getting bigger but it's still not really obvious I'm pregnant.

21 weeks
I've been busy, busy, busy. We babysat Mary's little girl, Sophie for this past week while Mary was away getting married. This was  a real test of "motherhood"...or I should say, "parenthood"....because Larry was involved too (and he did past the test...he will make a great Daddy to a little girl). We lost a lot of sleep and boy was I busy. Not that I didn't think mothering was a hectic job but oh my, I was busy! Sophie is adorable though so it hasn't scared me away from the inevitable....which by the way, I am more than half way there now. I still don't have a huge belly and have only gained 9 or 10 pounds but I got the ultrasound results back and they were good! That's a relief for now. I'll get more details at my midwife appointment tomorrow.

Today I bought my first baby clothes!!! I got some really cute pink clothes at The Children's Place for half price so I couldn't resist the deal. Plus, they will let you return things for up to 6 months so if it does turn out to be a boy...no, problem! Then I saw this little red dress at another store for $10, regular $29. Again, couldn't resist. It will fit her by winter, just in time for Christmas. It's hard not to buy everything I see but I'm sticking with the really good sales for now. I saw some amazing little dresses on Amazon.com. Some of them can be delivered in Canada so I'll definitely have to browse them again. I also HAVE to get her a Harley outift. Daddy's little girl needs to have a picture in her little Harely outfit on Daddy's Harley!!

I also bought some maternity clothes today. I love that the blouses are all empire waste so I don't have to buy maternity tops at the maternity store. All the stores carry them right now. I had to break down and buy maternity jeans b/c I only have one pair that fit so I bought a pair that I'll likely wear afterwards too. They have a low, stretchable wasteline so I won't feel weird wearing them afterwards.

I was thinking lately how it was 7 years ago this month that we started "trying" to conceive. What a l-o-n-g road it has been. We gave up about 5 years ago and decided to let nature take it's course...whether that involved a baby or not. Of course, it was only after the purchase of the Harley and the Mustang Convertible this past summer that guaranteed I'd be pregnant a month later (if only we knew 7 years ago that to get pregnant we only needed to buy a Harley and a convertible)! I tell Larry just how lucky he was buying that Harley.... just under the wire. He never would've got one had he waited until the fall...which he almost did b/c they didn't have the colour he wanted!!! Oh fate, how you toy with us!

It's a girl!!
Had the ultrasound today...it's a baby girl!! she looks just like me. My own little "mini-me". Can't wait to meet her. She moved around quite a bit during the ultrasound. I'm feelng her move around when I go to bed and sometimes during the day. She's quite active. The ultrasound really makes it feel REAL!!
