I am now 37 weeks pregnant.

32 weeks

I am 32 weeks and 4 days pregnant! I'm still feeling good but definitely slowing down. Everything seems to take more energy...especially climbing stairs! But, I have to say, although I have a few aches and pains, all in all pregnancy has been quite good to me. Dare I say that I haven't had a migraine for months and my skin looks really good too. I'm a little afraid of the migraines coming back with a vengeance after I give birth. No need to worry about that right now b/c I have many other things occupying my mind...like delivering early....the pain of childbirth....something wrong with baby....the list goes on. But, I am remaining optimistic about everything and just taking it one day at a time. This has been the longest 32 weeks of my life! It's not going fast at all. I can't wait to be done work especially with the nice weather in the forecast....and I especially can't wait to meet my baby :)

8 weeks....to go..........

30 & 31 Weeks

I'm 31 weeks, 2 days and in the single digit weekly countdown to mommy-hood. 9 more weeks of pregnancy and only 6 more weeks of work!! can't wait to be done work. It's been an exciting week b/c my friend Kelly gave birth to her baby on Friday night...the day before her due date. She had to have an emergency c-section but everything went well and she is doing well...and baby Ethan is also doing well. Although I've only seen a picture, he's adorable and looks just like daddy!

Aunt Jean called and told me she's going to be having a baby shower for me on May 4th. I think that's great of her to do that for me and I'm very exited about seeing everyone. I have found that I am addicted to baby clothes shopping!! I just keep finding such good sales...and really, the baby needs a lot of clothes. And the little pink dresses and stuff are just so irrisistable!! If it turns out to be a boy...well, he's just going to have to enjoy wearing dresses and pink clothes...

Mary came over yesterday and we tried out some creative pregnancy shots. We have to try it again with a better camera. Not too bad but quality wasn't great. I played around with them in photoshop which seemed to help.

I can't wait to hold my baby in my arms!!

29 weeks

Happy Easter! I almost missed week 29! It's been a busy week. Baby has been moving around a lot the last couple of days. Usually when I try to watch my belly she stops moving. Today though, I could see my belly moving all around. I feel lots of movement on my right side, especially if I am lynig on my right side. I also feel a lot going on at the top of my belly.

I had a midwife appointment today and she felt the back was towards my right side so she thought maybe it was a foot kicking to the right. The heartbeat was loud and clear and about 140 bpm. The midwife was very nice. Now I have met all three of them so it will be one of them that delievers the baby. Actually, I think two of them are at the delivery but the 2nd one may not be from the same team. She said the rate of epidurals at the clinic is about 8-10% which I think might be a good sign. I hope that means that there is penty of support from the midwife so you don't feel as much pain...ha ha....yea right. What it probably represents is the fact that the women that use midwives are more likely to want a natural birth. The rate at the hospital for OB delivies is 60%!  I'm not opposed to the epidural but if I can avoid it, I will. I don't like the idea of a needle in my spine.

11 weeks to go....

28 Weeks
28 weeks now and only 12 weeks to go! My mid-back has been aching but luckily only when I get home from work. At work I seem to be fine for now. I'm going to be in trouble if it starts aching at work though b/c it's really hard to get comfortable when it starts to hurt. The baby is still moving around quite a bit. I have to go for the hospital this week for the shot for RH- blood. I see the midwife again in another week. Looking forward to two short weeks thanks to Easter.
