The labor prior to having my water broken -- I was coasting!

What surprised me most about the delivery experience was:
How much my epidural hurt when it was going in, and then the complications I experienced after it was in. Also -- wasn't prepared for the post-partum hormones. LOTS of crying (happy crying!).
