My pregnancy classes are:
BORING! Sean and I had the 1st half of our "Prepared Childbirth" class yesterday and I was underwhelmed, to say the least. Maybe next week will be better, but I did not feel as though I learned anything "new" yesterday.
We have our breastfeeding class next week and I do think that one will be VERY informative.

In the classes, I've learned how to:
Sit indian-style, on the floor, while 7+ months pregnant. A feat in an of itself, let me tell you!

What I've bought for you so far:
It's more like what HAVEN'T I bought for you! :O) We've bought your nursery furniture, and lots of clothes. We've bought you some books and a few small toys.

What other people have bought for you:
We had our first shower for you on Saturday and we received lots of really great gifts. Grammie bought you your stoller/carseat combo, and our friends Frank and Kara and Chelsi and Eric bought you your bouncy seat. Aunt Janet bought you your very own Astros jersey, and Kelli made you a "growth chart". We also received lots of clothes for you, some diapers and burp clothes!
A very special gift we received came from your grammie. She saved a bunch of stuff from when I was a baby -- rattles, burp clothes, squeaky toys, a beautiful knitted sweater w/a hat and booties, and the tiniest little white baby Bible. I can't wait to pass these onto you one day!

The strangest food craving I've had during this pregnancy is:
I've craved corndogs (just haven't had one yet). I normally detest corndogs, so it was definitely odd that I was craving it. I also LOVE ketchup right now, which is usually never the case!

The strangest piece of advice I've gotten since this pregnancy started is:
Oh Lord...to many to list! I think the hardest part is hearing "old timers" give me their advice while telling me that "it was fine when I did it this way...". I'm trying to become better at letting it go in one ear and out another.

At my prenatal visit, I learned:
That it was okay for me to get highlights. YAY!!! (which I promptly did after my last appointment!) I also learned that my epidural will be controlled by me (once it's inserted, of course). I can make is as strong or weak as I need it to be, and can get my epidural whenever I want it. YAY!

My hopes:
I hope for a happy, healthy, mild-tempered baby. I hope that she isn't colicy and that she's a good sleeper. I also hope that I'm able to get back into shape fairly quickly!

My fears:
I still fear the actual labor and delivery part. I also fear the cost of daycare! LOL!
