Super Busy Days!!!

I've been SO incredibly busy for the last couple weeks with our summer staff training. We started June 1 and ended June 10. Today we have our first little batch of campers here.

In pregnancy news I am pretty sure I've felt Baby moving each night for the last three nights! I wish I knew exactly what the first movements feel like so I'd know if this is it for sure. Plus I wonder if its too early to feel it. Either way it sure is thrilling!

Summer Camp Begins!

It's hard to believe that summer camp season is here again! We start our staff training today...in 55 minutes!!!
I'll be really busy for the next couple months, but everyone should mail me letters and postcards and fun things!

11 weeks today!

This past Monday we had our second visit with Dr. Patel. It went really well!!! We had another ultrasound which was SO incredible. The baby measured 3.33 cm which DID change my due date to December 13. (See, this mama was right!)

We could see the little heartbeat so much clearer this time and the baby has developed a big head (to hold it's brilliantly creative brains!) and we could see its little arms and legs (which will be good for gymnastics since Baby York will be age-eligible for the 2024 Olympics).  The doctor gave us an image from the ultrasound, but I don't have a scanner so I haven't been able to get it online yet. I will as soon as possible!

I was concerned that my blood pressure would be up because Dr. Patel changed my medication for it at the April visit, but it was absolutely perfect at 120 over 74. I had gained a half a pound since last month, which still puts me about 7 pounds less than pre-pregnancy.

Everything on the ultrasound looked so good that Dr. Patel happily told me I could quit taking the oral progesterone I'd been on since April too. That made us very happy too!

Other good news: I am feeling abslutely wonderful! I'm not so exhausted all the time, but I'm sleeping really soundly every night for about 9 or 10 hours. This is GREAT for me, considering I'm usually such an insomniac. I haven't been sick or had heartburn. I'm just happy and feeling good.

So that's the great news from the Yorks! Chris and I are heading to Raleigh for the night so he can play at a wedding. Then I have a couple of days of to relax before we get super busy with summer camp! Our lifeguard class starts Tuesday and then ALL 60+ summer staff members will be here Sunday June 1!!!

On the brink of the second trimester...

For the last several days I can't seem to get over how quickly this time is passing. Today is Day 74 which means later this week I'll be less than 200 days from delivery! YAY (coupled with a little "yikeys")

We have our second appointment with Dr. Patel tomorrow and Chris and I are both very excited to hopefully hear the baby's heartbeat. We'll probably have another ultrasound tomorrow too since Dr. Patel wanted to get a more accurate due date for us at this visit. My gut feeling is that the due date is going to be later than December 11. I just have a hunch, you know? I guess we'll see if this mama's intuition is right tomorrow.

This weekend has been really busy at camp and it has definitely worn me out! It's our last busy troop camping weekend of the season. We'll be closed next weekend in preparation for our summer camp season! I know it's going to be a really busy summer, but we have a great group of summer staff coming in the last week of May and tons of happy campers here on June 15. I think it will be great and I'm very grateful that I'll be right in the middle of my second trimester all summer! Hopefully this tiredness will dissipate (not that summer camp doesn't exhaust me under non-pregnancy circumstances! hee hee hee!) and we'll just truck right along to August!

I'm really looking forward to this Tuesday too because I've come up with a good plan for how I'm going to tell all of my co-workers at the Girl Scout Council offices! It's going to be awesome.

I'll try and update later this week about the doctor visit!
