11 weeks today! This past Monday we had our second visit with Dr. Patel. It went really well!!! We had another ultrasound which was SO incredible. The baby measured 3.33 cm which DID change my due date to December 13. (See, this mama was right!)
We could see the little heartbeat so much clearer this time and the baby has developed a big head (to hold it's brilliantly creative brains!) and we could see its little arms and legs (which will be good for gymnastics since Baby York will be age-eligible for the 2024 Olympics). The doctor gave us an image from the ultrasound, but I don't have a scanner so I haven't been able to get it online yet. I will as soon as possible!
I was concerned that my blood pressure would be up because Dr. Patel changed my medication for it at the April visit, but it was absolutely perfect at 120 over 74. I had gained a half a pound since last month, which still puts me about 7 pounds less than pre-pregnancy.
Everything on the ultrasound looked so good that Dr. Patel happily told me I could quit taking the oral progesterone I'd been on since April too. That made us very happy too!
Other good news: I am feeling abslutely wonderful! I'm not so exhausted all the time, but I'm sleeping really soundly every night for about 9 or 10 hours. This is GREAT for me, considering I'm usually such an insomniac. I haven't been sick or had heartburn. I'm just happy and feeling good.
So that's the great news from the Yorks! Chris and I are heading to Raleigh for the night so he can play at a wedding. Then I have a couple of days of to relax before we get super busy with summer camp! Our lifeguard class starts Tuesday and then ALL 60+ summer staff members will be here Sunday June 1!!! |
