Dr's Appt We just got back from the dr. She did the first pelvic exam. I am 1cm dilated and 75% effaced. He is about as low as he could possibly be and when she did the exam, she was able to touch his head with her finger. She thinks he will be between 6 and 7 lbs, just going by the size of my stomach. This doesn't really tell us when he is coming, but these are all good signs that things are coming along as they should. I wish I had more exciting news to pass along but that is all that is happening now!

Won't be long! Yesterday, we had a doctor's appointment. I had a 3 hour hair appointment earlier that day and lunch with Kim beforehand and my Braxton-Hicks contractions were out of control. They would last like 5 minutes each and I would have several in an hour sometimes. So when I saw the doctor, I told her about all of my contractions and she told me not to worry because I wasn't far enough along to worry. But when she went to listen to the heartbeat I was in the middle of a contraction and she felt how intense it was. After listening to the heartbeat, she decided to run another test to make sure everything was ok. I had to sit in a big recliner with these sensors stuck to my belly which attached to a machine. I sat there for 20 minutes and hit a button everytime I felt Harrison move. She came in and looked at the paper that the machine was spitting out and wasn't happy with his movement so she made me drink some juice and sit there for awhile longer. This gave him a jolt and he started moving again. This time, she was happy with his movement and said everything was fine. She was able to see that I had more contractions while I was in the chair and she said it was really good that I was having them. Next Thursday, she will do an exam to find out if I am dilated and she seemed really excited about it. She was even wondering if I was already dilated now. (I wish she would have just done the exam then!).
Other than that, nothing new is going on. I switched to Zantac for the acid reflux and its made a big difference. We are as prepared as we can be for his arrival, so again we are just waiting!
