32 weeks, 2 days I had a doctor's appointment this morning. This past week I have felt a lot of pressure on my bladder so I suspected that he has moved south a bit. She said that I was right. She thinks that he has moved down some and that his head is probably close to my bladder. So my bladder feels the pressure of his head rolling back and forth as well as his flailing arms. This means that he is in a good position. If he stays this way til I deliver, we will be in great shape. His heartbeat was around 135 - 140, which is good. Other than that, the appointment was short and sweet and again ended in Adam swearing he was going to medical school.
Hopefully Adam will be finishing up putting the new blinds and curtains in the nursery this weekend and then it will officially be done. I plan to catch up on my baby reading. I swear that this baby is coming early, but then again, I also swore that Harrison was going to be a girl.....
I have had to change up my diet drastically to deal with the acid reflux. I couldn't deal with the lack of sleep and pain that comes with it anymore. I am basically only eating bananas, apples, rice, bread, grilled or baked chicken, turkey, potatoes, and fat-free fig newtons. The list of foods that don't cause heartburn is very short. The hardest part is that I can't even have tea anymore, even de-caf. Which is unfortunate because I crave sweet tea like crazy. I also crave M&M Blizzards, which I absolutely can't have. It is taking an extreme amount of self-control to not eat what I want, but when actual pain is a consequence, it really leaves you no choice.

31 weeks I am 31 weeks now which means I am only 6 WEEKS away from being full term! Crazy. I would say that it has flown by but it hasn't. More like dragggggggeeeeddddd by. I can deal with my obesity and I can deal with the back pain and I can even deal with the hosts at restaurants counting me as 2 people. But the acid reflux nightmare is not so easy. Two nights ago, I had a very painful, sleepless night so I knew I had to do something drastic. I looked up online what foods I should and shouldn't eat. I had been guessing at this and clearly guessing wrong. Restricting your diet is not easy when you are pregnant and starving all the time, but I think I value sleep over a good hamburger. So my list of "Foods that are very unlikely to cause heartburn" include bananas, apples, extra lean ground beef, chicken breast, rice, bread, etc. The list is very short and bland and boring and the highlight is that I can have fat free cookies. Only foods with very little fat are allowed. The only drink I can have is water. I can't even have decaf tea (although I am sitting here drinking it right now, but I had to finish off the pitcher!!!).
The doctor's visit last week was uneventful. She measured me and told me I'd gained another 7 lbs and told us we'd be coming in every 2 weeks now and that was about it. Adam decided that he is in the wrong line of work and is going to medical school after this short costly visit but I think I talked him out of it :) I am pretty sure people leave his office cursing at him too.
The baby shower was on Saturday and was lots of fun. I will load pictures soon to the photo album. It was good to see everyone, some traveling from far away! We are very thankful for all of the gifts. We only have maybe $200 worth of things to buy now before the baby comes. Which is great with the fence we just had to build, taxes we had to pay, and the dr.'s bill on the way! I guess these things come in 3's!

SUV- check! I can mark off "Get an SUV" off of my checklist now!

30 weeks! Not much has been happening this week! We are hopefully picking up the hummer this evening, so the car crisis will be over. We received the plantation shutters in the mail and they didn't fit, so we have to shop around and look for some more.
I just read that after you have the baby, you still look 5 months pregnant. So that is something to look forward to! Oh well, I walk almost everyday - usually around a mile. I am walking slower and slower though. And I can't really eat too much because I know the acid reflux will keep me up all night, so I am not overeating. I will just not worry about all of that!
The Keogh's and the Palermos sent us the rainforest swing. It is very cool. It does all kinds of things.
Harrison seems to be doing fine! I feel him move throughout the day, but mostly when I lay down at night. He has been doing something funny to my left hip bone. It feels like he has a little hammer in there that he whacks it with sometimes.
We have a doctor's appointment on Friday and my baby shower on Saturday!
