October 2008 Macy just turned 5 months on October 24. She is learning so many new things. She likes to shake rattles and things that play music. Her feet are still her best toys though. She is very verbal and likes to "talk" to anyone who will listen. Yikes! Between her and Majesta no one can get a word in. She also started rolling from her tummy to her back a couple of weeks ago. She always suprises herself when she does and gets her big eyes. Its very cute.
In October we had family pictures in Watertown by a girl I know on our way up to Peever for a family reunion. We had such a fun weekend seeing my grandpa and grandma and all the aunts and uncles. Macy did well considering it was such a zoo around there!
I'm having getting my house ready for the holidays. I can't to decorate for Christmas! I would have the Christmas tree up in October if Matt would let me. I just love all the smells and sounds of Christmas. I guess we should get the one million leaves that are in our lawn raked up first...

2008-09-22 (baby has arrived)
3 months Macy's third month is almost over! It has been a busy month! Macy discovered her hands and feet this month. It is so fun to watch her play with them. She also likes to lay under her play mat and play with the toys that hang down. She is such a smiley little girl and likes to laugh. She has slept through the night a couple of times, but still isn't very consistent about it. Napping is also a chore, but at least she goes to bed at about 8:00-8:30 at night now.
Sarah came and visited us and we had a lot of fun. Macy and Majesta were both excited to have a visitor at the house. The weekend went too fast though.
Matt and I painted the living room green before she got here. It actually looks pretty good. I was a little nervous about how it was going to turn out.
Matt never took any time off from work after Macy was born so he took a week off in September. I worked a lot that week so he and Macy had some good bonding time. Matt also got a few projects around the house done.
Majesta came back at the beginning of September and started first grade. She is doing really well and gets a lot of compliment from her teacher. We are glad to have her back here!
We went to Jessi Ann and Brets last weekend. Jessica came up also so it was a lot of fun. We went out to eat and did some shopping. Somebody rear-ended my car when we were on our way to go shopping. I was very grateful that nobody was hurt! I apperently don't have good luck with yellow cars, this was the second time I've been rear-ended!
Anyways, I should get going.........
2008-08-06 (baby has arrived)
2 months Well Macy is already over 2 months old! She started smiling about 3 weeks ago and what a beautiful smile it is! She loves getting her diaper changed and laying on her changing table. You can almost always get a smile out of her then, although she does smile for Matt and I a lot. She had a rough colicky spell for awhile, but it is starting to resolve. We are down to about a half hour of crying compared to 3 hours!! I am trying to get her on a sleeping schedule, so that is the next battle we have to conquer. She loves to be outside so her and I usually go for a long walk.
We have had a busy, fun summer. We took Majesta to ValleyFair with Jessi Ann and Bret. That was a lot of fun! Majesta really enjoyed it and Macy slept pretty much the whole time. We went to Rochester and went to a Jimmy Wayne concert with Rochelle. Majesta stayed with Ryan, Grace, and Luke and had a lot of fun. I think her and Grace could have played with dolls for hours!
My friend Sarah and her husband Jared are coming to visit us this weekend so I'm super excited about that! We always enjoy visitors at our house!!
2008-07-02 (baby has arrived)
One month! Its hard to believe Macy is already over a month old! She is starting to be awake a little bit more now. She has all of sudden started being fussy from about 10:00PM-12:00
AM. Last night we finally had to just lay her down and let her cry herself to sleep. She cried for about 15 min. and then fell asleep. She is starting to show a preference to me over other people. Last night she was screaming while Matt was holding her but settled down after I took her (for a little while anyways!). This makes me even more sad to go back to work :(
Macy and I had a great time when we went to South Dakota last week. We got to see my brother Cody in Watertown, my Grandpa and Grandpa in Peever, my mom, and my uncles in Sisseton. I then went to Aberdeen and stayed at my Dad's. We went to North Dakota to visit my Grandpa and Grandma Rodenburg, which was a ton of fun. Majesta was able to join us, which I was very happy about. I cooked supper on Saturday night and my Aunt Linda and Jessica came over and joined us. On our way back to Sleepy Eye, we stopped in Watertown again and saw my friend Eric and his wife Deanna. They just moved into a really nice house, so I was able to see that.
Whew! Talk about a busy week! We had fun, but we were glad to get back and see Matt.
I go back to work next Monday. I work two 3-11 shifts and two night shifts. My Mom is coming down when I work the two night shifts. That will be nice for Matt and I. I will be able to get some sleep!
