I am now 29 weeks pregnant.

Still puking....

Ok, just in the morning and only after coffee but still......

isn't this supposed to go away around now??

I am really ready to enter that "honeymoon stage" everyone talks about. I'll be 12 weeks Saturday so we are sooo close.

Chad and I have been soooooooooooooo much calmer since the ultrasound. We have definitely let down our guard a bit. I'm looking at nursery stuff a bit online (and forcing Chad to too)..thinking about names, etc. This weekend I'll be maternity shopping since my pants are starting to cut me off right in the middle. Just a few items that'll work for now since I guess I have a lot more growing to do! We are also going to take a belly pic soon to post, even though there is not much more than a buddha belly there!

Next appt is January 30th...don't know if I said that yet.?? At that appt they will schedule the BIG ULTRASOUND..you know, the one where we find out the sex....Eeeekkk! They can do that one now I think at around 15 weeks even!! Other than that, still got the itchy rash. New symptom is migraines, tons of zits, and worsening carpal tunnel (can you say fluid retention?). The daytime fatigue is lessening though, however I am waking up every 2 hours during the night to pee and shake the numbness out of my hands so I guess it is all balancing out now!! My tummy feels weird when I try to sleep on it...kinda like I have to go to the bathroom really, really bad but I just went to the bathroom.... I assume that is pressure. So it won't be long I suppose before I am incarcerated to the side-lying position. I have always been a tummy sleeper so this is going to be interesting!!

Chad got to tell everyone at work..everyone was really stoked for him that all was well with the ultrasound. It was great.

Other than that, no updates! Come back later!

Munchkin...ALIVE AND KICKING!!

Had the ultrasound!!

It was soooooooo beyond cool! We were so freaking nervous!!

Munchkin is measuring 12 weeks +/- 11 days which puts him right on track at my 11 wk 2days pregnant...Heart rate 158 bpm and strong, placenta right where it is supposed to be...two legs, two arms, hands waving about (you can see a hand right above the head there in the pic). He/she was even jumping all about!  We even got a streaming video! Check out my photo album for the US pic! :)
Now Chad and I are going out for crab legs!
Time to celebrate! And breathe a sigh of relief!!

Well Deja vu....

Couldn't find the heartbeat today with the doppler. I am 10 weeks, 5 days.  She moved it all around, all we heard was static and echo...Interesting enough, she seemed worried until I told her I had a tilted uterus (you'd think they of all people would know that, right?). My doc has told me that before. Anyhow, she then went on to say how it can be harder to detect a heartbeat then this early and you know, blah blah blah. She didn't even extend the offer for me to come back next week to try again via doppler, she just wrote out the script for the ultrasound on Monday to "confirm viability". We were very happy about that! Didn't think they could do that again since that is what they used as the excuse on the last one but I guess any time they have reason to suspect they can use that. I don't know. But if the little bugger is in there hiding way back where we are going to get to see him/her flippin' all over the place on Monday! Cuz 11 week ultrasounds ARE actually something to look at!

I have to say we were very dissapointed although I guess not suprised. It just sucks because we knew it was going to play out this way. It is still very normal not to hear the heartbeat on doppler but is no comfort really to us since that is what they told us last time...to make matters worse, the ultrasound tech only works there Mon and Wed so we knew we'd have to wait in torment all weekend if we didn't hear anything. So....now we wait.  Oh well, what can you do?? If ever in my life I have had no control, this is it!  But no reason to sound the alarms so we are optimistic. Just very scared. Heck, we are even scared of the rooms in the office now, ha ha. And what was my BP you ask??? 155/88!!! Guess no one cares about that cuz the NP said nothing about it (she had to of not looked). As your blood volume increases in pregnancy your BP is actually supposed to decrease so I am going to take it every time I work now just to make sure. It is kinda freaking me out. And again, we forgot to bring our home cuff for comparison!

So on Monday, after 3:00 pm or so, we are either going to have some really bad news or some really great visuals so make sure and check back! We want you to know now that  if you don't hear from us on Monday well.....you know things did not go well. I just don't think I can deliver that bad news again.  But if things go good....well, we'll be shouting it from the mountaintops!

BUT AGAIN! HAPPY, POSITIVE THOUGHTS ALL!! SEND US SOME GOOD VIBES!

luv u all

10 weeks Pregnant..that's it! Grrrr.....

Can we just fast forward please???

But look, there may be hope!....

Week 10
You are now 10 weeks pregnant. This week, you could still be feeling some early symptoms of pregnancy. These should disappear soon (can I get a WHOO-HOO!!??). You may also notice that your waist line is starting to widen. (Yeah, no kidding, lol)

How Does My Baby Look?
Baby's toes and ears as well as the upper lip are formed now. The external genitalia will start to develop this week. And if you're pregnant with a boy, his testes will begin to produce the male hormone, testosterone. Other internal developments are happening, too.

The tooth buds are forming inside baby's mouth. By the end of the week, baby's vital organs will have been formed and will start to work. The baby's brain growth will quickly increase - in fact, some 250,000 new neurons will be produced inside baby's brain every minute! After this week, it is unlikely that any congenital abnormalities will develop. Your baby can now be officially called a fetus, as Week 10 ends the developmental stage called the embryonic period.

Was so busy at work yesterday (everyone was at the ER BTW) that I didn't get my afternoon coffee fix (half decaf). Woke up this AM with a huge migraine, which seems to always happen when I work late and miss coffee. Grrrr.

And I forgot to add that I have officially puked once..it was after brushing my teeth. I tried like a champ to fight it back but it was comin'. Yuck. And now..since I so badly still want my coffee in the AM, I have resorted to eating saltines before coffee. It really helps!! I still have sort of plug my nose as I drink (for some reason coffee is so disgusting to me now some days) but I get by. I am a true addict! But, I am not exceeding my OB recomendations and we use 1/4 caff and 3/4 decaf so I don't feel bad...I have thought seriously about switching to soda but then I think maybe I couldn't kick that habit after baby is born..plus then I'll be 500 lbs....

The wait is killing me. Thursday seems so far away!! My BP was 120/72 the other day at work. Not too shabby if I say so myself. At home it is always around the same. At the OB it is 145/90. I swear I don't have "White Coat Syndrome" but whatever. So....point is, won't it be fun to  see what it is on Thursday??? LOL.....

On a HAPPY NOTE!...I am starting to kinda imagine what our little baby would look like. I need to get a baby pic from Mom of me so that I can truly facilitate this daydreaming process. I really feel like I shouldn't be doing this at this point in the pregnancy, but I can't help it. I also can't help being terrified! LOL. Anyhow...I really hope that the baby has Chad's little dimples/cheeks and his BIG smile..you know, the one he gets when he is just hyserically laughing abut something and his whole face kinda scrunches up? It is the look of pure joy! I love it! I can see Chad had it even when he was a baby. He must have been such a happy baby. All my baby pics that I have seen that I remember I just look really confused. Guess not much has changed, lol (just kidding). Mom...pick me out some good ones if you have any clue where they are...then I can load them here... Other than that there won't be much mystery because we already know the baby will have brown eyes, brown hair, and be apple shaped, LOL. But YOU NEVER REALLY KNOW I GUESS!

Oh- and I am starting to read a parenting book!! You know me..I am all about research! It is called "Parenting with Love and Logic". It talks about how you should talk to your kids and some other stuff. Some of the advice in there is pretty wild! My sister had it and gave it to me, it looks really neat. I am getting so bored with the pregnancy magazines/books since they all say exactly the same things (that I already know)...

Oh, and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Chad and I! 6 years today! I couldn't have asked for a better husband! LUV LUV LUV LUV LUV Chadro!

Love you all! Thanks for reading!
