Baby has arrived!

2006-08-01  (25 weeks)
25 weeks and counting

Ok, so I'm feeling pretty wonderful at the moment. Most of my weird symptoms have subsided. I'm much more energetic and more myself instead of feeling constantly 'under-the-weather' and a bit irritable.  All of that is gone and I'm feeling great.  Sleeping, however, is more of challenge.  No more waking up every 30 minutes to pee (thank goodness) but now since my belly is buldging out far more than I ever have imagined, it's hard to get comfortable.  Not to mention I'm beginning to be hot most of the time.  And when you share a bed with a big dog and a husband who's always cold, this is not a good time.

I'm also beyond frustrated at the clothing issue.  Nothing fits!!! >.<  All my normal clothes are way too tight or too short or just look horrible on me.  Even tee-shirts look a bit stretched and too tight over my tummy.  All my maternity clothes are too big.  I only have like 2 pairs of pants and maybe 5 shirts that are good right now. Which means I have to wear uncomfortable or ugly clothes when lounging around the house, so I'm guaranteed that my decent-looking clothes will be clean if  and when I go anywhere.

So far I've gained 21 lbs and I still have around 15 weeks to go. Not horrible considering I didn't eat for the first 2-3 months and I've been really making up for it in the last couple of months ;-)

John still acts surprised and amazed when he can see or feel the baby move.. Even though I tell him he does it all..day..long.. LoL  It's really great that he's so into it, though.  And everytime I complain about how I look, he's quick to tell me he loves it.. so he's pretty good to have around :o)  I'm one lucky lady, I am.

We STILL cannot THINK of a NAME!!!  >.<

I found out my cousin is also pregnant last week.  She's still very much at the beginning, but it's cool to have someone to talk to that's going through the stuff I went though (and to be able to warn her about things to come LoL)  We were raised like sisters and it's so weird to think our kids will be born within 5 months of each other.

Are you taking up kick-boxing in there??

I've been feeling the baby move a lot recently.  I'm loving it!  Unless, of course, I wake up in the middle of the night to pee or something then he starts it up and I can't get back to sleep..  It's ok, though.  I know I'll get a lot less sleep once he gets here.

We went to Bayfest here on base for the 4th of July weekend.  It's a carnival and concert thing and the food was yummy.  (I think Moondoggy liked it).  I'm pretty sure he hated the concert, though.  It was really loud and he was goind crazy in there when they played the bass or the drums.  It's weird.. it just keeps getting stronger.  I am glad it was strong enough before John left for him to be able to feel it.  I can even see it sometimes now.  It'll be so strong that I look down at my stomach and I can see it pop up a bit.  I'm loving it LoL

John left on Wednesday until around the 27th.  He's on ship floating around in the ocean somewhere.  He finally got to call me yesterday, so I know he's ok.  He bought a phone card, but doesn't have much money left, so is afraid to call too much.  He said he just wanted to let me know what was going on and that everything fine, and to check on me and the baby.

Otherwise all is well.. Just wanted to update some. :) Adding some pictures, too. Peace! <3

Little kicks
I finally felt him kick for the first time yesterday. I was watching Oprah and out of nowhere there was this little popping feeling or like someone flipping me w/ their finger from inside. I felt about 3 more after that first one and I'm SO excited!! I started rubbing my tummy and talking to him, but he did stop after a bit.. Hopefully it'll get less sparatic and stronger soon =)

A bit late..
I'm a tad late on starting one of these. I'd never found a good one online until just now. But, I guess 5 months is better than nothin, right? Besides, none of my family or friends get to experience my pregnancy since we're so far away, so I guess this is a good thing to have.
