Baby has arrived!

2008-05-09  (36 weeks)
less than 18 days..

Until Brianna is here!! Went to the doctor today - all is well .. had a routine test done & then talked about the c-section and got the final info:

Presurgical testing is @ LIJ on May 25th and then I get admitted on May 27th at 10am. The c-section is at 12:15pm and then I'll be in the hospital for hopefully only 4 days.

I asked the doctor how long he thinks it will take me to recover and he said probably around 8 weeks .. so that kind of stinks. But who knows, it could be less. I hope it's less!!!!

So unless this baby girl decides to come on her own - she will be here on May 27th!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am so ready to have her out of me!! hahaha <3

it's scheduled

So the date of my c-section is all set for May 27th at 12:15pm .. of course Brianna can decide to come on her own at any point from now until then, but granted she doesn't .. that is going to be her birthday!!!!!

c-section

At yesterday's sonogram/growth scan appointment, we learned that Brianna is still in the same exact position as always - her head is under my right rib cage still, butt above my pelvis and knees/legs under my left ribcage... and that she is 6 pounds 1 ounce already. I am 3 days shy of being 36 weeks pregnant, my amniotic fluid is measuring normal, but more towards the low side (which really makes it difficult for her to do a major flip to the head down position) - so the doc said she isn't moving anywhere: aka, she is staying in breech. He said he was going to speak to my regular ob/gyn and then I will, and then we'll schedule a c-section.

I am still kind of on the borderline of being sick - whatever is in my lungs is still just lingering, but not going "crazy" yet - and then we have the diabetes - add that onto Brianna being breech, and we have ourselves a c-section!

I'm pretty happy to be honest - who REALLY wants to push a human out of their vagina???? I mean seriously .. who WANTS to do that? NOT ME!!!! I know a c-section is major surgery, but lets see, I won't have to go into labor, no contractions, no pushing a baby out and being exhausted, and no ripping open of my vagina or anything else. Sounds good to me!  The recovery process will be longer and more painful, but that's a price I am more than willing to pay at this point. JUST TAKE HER OUT OF MEEEEEEE ALREADY!!!!

I'll most likely be posting again when I get more info and find out the date of the c-section. See ya then!
