Baby has arrived!

2007-10-23  (8 weeks)
very very soon!

Kenny and I will be moving into our new apartment veryyy soon! I put some new pics in the photo album of our new kitchen .. it is absolutely GORGEOUS. My Dad is doing such an amazing job building everything on his own. We are so grateful & lucky. We went and bought a kitchen table with chairs today .. it matches everything so well and it really made the kitchen look complete! This weekend we are picking up our leather couches and getting a brand new 40" flat screen plasma tv to put on the wall. We are just counting down the days until we can move in!

My tummy is already starting to show, it feels so weird! I also feel it changing on the inside. On November 8th I go for my 10 week checkup and hear my baby's heart beating .. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

today I'm 2 months pregnant!

Your pregnancy: 8 weeks

How your baby's growing:

New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet. His eyelids practically cover his eyes which already have pigment. Breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed quite enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, although you still can't feel it.

Time

Time sure goes by sooo fast .. I can't believe on Sunday I will be 2 months pregnant already! My next obgyn appointment is for November 8th .. during that visit I will be hearing the babies heartbeat and possibly getting a sonogram done. If not, then on my 12 week mark I will be having a sonogram. 12 weeks is the end of the first trimester .. I really can't wait to reach that point! The first 3 months are the most critical months and it will be very relieving to get past that point. Hopefully everything will still be smooth sailing after the first 3 months!

I have still been feeling very very nauseous everyday, as well as being EXHAUSTED in the afternoons. I could pretty much fall asleep anywhere. Hopefully these symptoms will ease up though in the following weeks to come!

7 weeks 5 days!

Your pregnancy: 7 weeks

How your baby's growing:

The big news this week: Hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs; although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny, pudgy extremities you're daydreaming about holding and tickling. Technically, your baby is still considered an embryo and has something of a small tail, which is an extension of her tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks, but that's the only thing getting smaller. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long, about the size of a blueberry.

If you could see inside your womb, you'd spot eyelid folds partially covering her peepers, which already have some color, as well as the tip of her nose and tiny veins beneath parchment-thin skin. Your baby's heart is beating rapidly and has already divided into small chambers. Both hemispheres of your baby's brain are growing, and her liver is churning out red blood cells until her bone marrow forms and takes over this role. She also has an appendix and a pancreas, which will eventually produce the hormone insulin to aid in digestion. A loop in your baby's growing intestines is bulging into her umbilical cord, which now has distinct blood vessels to carry oxygen and nutrients to and from her tiny body.
