Just wanted to write in and say that things are better - still on the bedrest... which is obviously what's helping. Still cramping slightly if I get up and do too much, but haven't bled in a few days (knock on wood).
I've just been kind of down lately.... I guess from the bedrest and just dealing with everything; the body changes (i love my belly, but other changes, like acne, are not so cool)... it's just a mixture of a lot of different things. I'm so happy to be pregnant and can't wait for my little girl to be here, but I just feel sad. Don't really wanna talk to or see anyone.... oh well it'll pass. Maybe it's the hormones.
Until next time... goodnight.

Scary past 2 days.... Sooo.. I just got back from the hospital..... I've now been bleeding for almost 2 days and in severe pain, cramps like I have my period and blood clots coming out when I pee. So, I went to my obgyn yesterday and she said my cervix looked like it was shortening (that is what happens when you go into labor but for some women it happens early - can cause miscarriage) so today I would need to go up to the hospital & have a detailed vaginal ultrasound of my cervix. She also found a good sized blood clot in my uterus yesterday, which the cause is unknown.. could be from the placenta growing or the baby growing, things stretching.. nothing I did though.. but that is whats causing the bleeding.. so I have 2 seperate issues going on. She said I would most likely need to get my cervix stitched closed (called a cervical cerclage). The cervix is a tiny muscle that holds the pregnancy, so when it is stitched it cant shorten anymore, therefore fixes the problem and no miscarriage hopefully.
So, today I went to LIJ Hospital with my parents and Kenny, prepared for the worst. I had the ultrasound done and they saw the blood clot... The baby looked perfect, great heartbeat and the placenta is getting lots of blood and is strong.. and, my cervix measured PERFECT today.......... so, I don't need that stitching!!!! Thank god - i was so scared. So, I have to let this blood clot pass on its own, and I am sentenced to bed rest for a week or more, depending on when the bleeding stops and my pains go away. (The pains I am having are from the blood clot in my uterus.)
We were also told that it is indeed looking like a girl. So, the past 2 days have been quite scary. I am going to take it easy - but it stinks cause I won't be able to do ANY Christmas shopping. I know everyone will understand, but I still feel really bad. I just want everything to be okay with my little girl.
Alsooooo - I'm pretty sure I felt her moving on the car ride home!

round ligament pain
So the past week or so I have been experiencing the wonderful world of Round Ligament Pains .. and let me tell you, it is VERY painful!! It is very very common, especially with first pregnancies. All the ligaments that are attached to my uterus are stretching and pulling, and the pain gets to be sooo bad that I literally can not move and go into tears. The only thing that has helped so far is a heating pad, which I only use for small amounts at a time because I don't want to get myself or the baby too hot. And laying down helps a lot. I constantly have an aching pain in my lower abdomen, but when I move, get up, walk around, or lift things... FORGET ABOUT IT - the shooting, stabbing pains are so bad that I almost can not take it. There is no bleeding or anything. Hopefully these pains will subside soon..... just doing the dishes is agony and I have to take breaks and lay down so the pain doesn't get too bad. I wanted to do some Christmas shopping, but there is NO WAY in hell I am walking around shopping with these pains.
Kenny is taking great care of me, as usual. He lets me use him as a leg rest so I can prop my legs up when I am in bad pain... if he's sleeping I just use pillows.
I have an appointment on the 20th so hopefully everything will be okay until then! Goodnight xoxo

GIRL STUFF :)
So since we know it's a girl (unless she mysteriously grows a penis all of a sudden) .. I had to buy these cute girly things I saw tonight!!!
First, I got the most ADORABLE pink infant boots .. they are like pink suede with a heart on the side and pink/grey fur on the top .. SO SO SO SO SO cute!!
Then, I got a package of newborn one piece outfits - one of them says "Daddy's Girl" with hearts around that and little flowers.
oh my goodness... I am in HEAVEN shopping for little girl things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so much fun .. I can't wait to decorate the nursery!! Grandpa Brian already said, "looks like we have to paint the nursery pink!"
Not sure how I am going to do the nursery - but it will be very *pretty* for our precious BRIANNA!!!!!!!
I love you soooooooooooo much my little princess!!!!
