Friday May 23 2008-Quad Screen Results!! I just got a call from my Dr. telling me that the Quad screen (same as triple screen test) came back NORMAL!!! I am SO RELIEVED! Not that I thought anything was wrong but I didn't do this test with my first pregnancy so it was something new and scary for me! I am so very happy that everything came back fine! Now I can truly enjoy my Memorial Day weekend without any worries! My Next appt. is on Tuesday the 27th and I am very excited about it because we will be deciding when our next ultrasound will be! I'm guessing it'll be around the second week in June. |

May 20th 2008 Triple Screen Test So I just got back from getting my blood drawn for the Triple Screen Test for fetal abnormalities. I was very nervous and still am very nervous! I didn't do this test with my first pregnancy and have heard horror stories about all of the false positives within this test. I just pray soooo hard that our baby is healthy and fine but until I get those results I will be a nervous wreck. I know that it is better to know now if there is something wrong with the baby but I am the type of person that maybe shouldn't know until the problems presented themselves but after much thought I figured I'd just do it. It would be so selfish of me not to. Our precious baby's health means way more to me than my own mental stability:) I will just continue to pray. |

17 weeks May 18th 2008 Sunday May 18th 2008:
I am 17 weeks today and the day is BEAUTIFUL! Windy but beautiful. You'd think I'd be enjoying the day outside but I'm not. Today I woke up to Josh making a big breakfast for the three of us and then after that I started cleaning the main level of our house. Brielle helped me sweep and mop the floors and vacuum the living room and stairs. I was going to go out and weed the garden but I could barely move after all I had accomplished! My back hurt SO BAD! I remember going through the exact same thing with my first pregnancy around this time. I have felt the baby move more and more although I feel it more at night than during the day. I am really really anticipating feeling this baby move around alot more in the upcoming weeks. I'm so excited for that. I need the reassurance that this one is still doing ok in there:) Tuesday I will be going in to get blood drawn for the triple screen test. I am very nervous to do this test as I didn't do it with the first Pregnancy but I figured it's better to know if something is wrong now than at the time of delivery. |

16 weeks 1 day 5/11/08 Getting closer to that 20 week mark! I am still taking this pregnancy one day at a time...it's the only way to be as positive as I can be. I had a great mothers day. It Started on Friday actually! Josh took me to Nelson's Nursery and we bought everything for our garden and a couple trees. Then Saturday we planted our garden! It was alot of fun. Brielle planted all of the onions and carrots and beans! She was such a great little helper and she loved the dirt after she got use to it! After we planted the garden I went shopping with my mother in law! We had a blast and shopped for almost 7 hours!! She got me alot of really cute shirts! Thank god for her because I wouldn't have a wardrobe at all! We had a great time:)Love you Carolyn! We then finished the night with pizza with the rest of the family:) Mothers Day was a great day as well! We went to Carolyn's for breakfast and hungout there until 12:30 and then I went to see my Grandma and then went to my mom's for dinner. We ate soooo much great food that day and it was so wonderful to be surrounded by our families. The weekend was perfect and I felt great! The baby has been moving around a little more each day. The movements aren't super strong but I can feel them! Just little flutters~ I'm excited for the day I get to feel a foot jab into my ribs!! |
