little miss hiccups i can't believe how often you get hiccups! you're still really squirmy, which is awesome, but it's been different over the last couple days... instead of kicks and punches, it's more of pushes and stretches... running out of room? i still feel the occasional elbow or knee, or hand or foot or shoulder... smaller, pointier limbs...but you mostly feel like a big blob...kind of like the stuff in a lava lamp moving around ;o)
last night was sooo painful for my left leg, and butt cheek - from laying on my left side! i think i may have slept (when i wasn't bicycle kicking or tightening my glutes to try to make my lower back, etc crack and feel better) ilted towards my back a little last night... oopsie. i'll have to pull the Snoogle back up to use. 2 more months!!!
i mentioned to DH last night about how cool it would be if you were born on Nov 4. DH asked why. hehe. That's the day DH proposed to me :) or the day we went to a Theory of a Deadman concert (haha, kidding). DH said we should change our Sears registry date to that day b/c everything else has so far always fallen on a special day (like your ultrasounds). i'm all for it.

busy weekend... 'nother gift :) the labour day weekend was super busy... cousin T's wedding saturday, my coworker's wedding reception sunday, and Mic and Bry came over and took belly pictures of me (and DH...and puppy - but not their bellies. haha). Syd's been having a ton of hiccups...saturday, i think, she had them 4 times that day! it concerned DH, and me slightly, that they're not hiccups but i really think they are... it's like a slow heartbeat feeling... plus when we talked with my cousin Zac & Ter, Ter said her son had them all the time too. i'm sure if DH goes with me to the next prenatal, that he'll ask. if not, i'll try to remember...but i'm still sure they are hiccups.
anyway, it was a fun weekend, and Mic got some really good shots! Mic & Bry also brought Syd a gift from Las Vegas - a pink onesie that says "does this diaper make me look fat?" it's cute!
anyway, off to the grocery store. this will be the 3 day in a row almost - labour day stores were closed!!! i had DH go in saturday and sunday, drunk...haha...when we got home from our parties, and i sat in the car. he had a cop standing behind him in line too on the saturday night, and he chatted with him. funny. now it's my turn i guess to go...we need a few things...more fruit!!! i can't go without my fruit!!! :)
oh and i think our new friend, Edema, has come to visit. Sunday night after the reception, i fell asleep on the couch - sitting up. when i woke up, probably an hour or so later, my feet felt like balloons. i could barely bend my toes. they didn't appear swollen...maybe moreso on the bottoms (soles)? but it seriously felt like i had water balloon feet. now, i'm noticing lately too that my hands get all tensed up when i'm sleeping...when i wake up, they tend to be very stiff.

30 weeks, 2 days! (more gifts too...) WOW i finally have an opportunity to write! usually DH is on the computer at home, and today and yesterday we've had a steady work flow so i wasn't able to hop on here at all.
i wanted to say i'm happy we've reached 30 weeks! YAY!!
we had a busy weekend... friday we dropped puppy off at my parents so they could watch her saturday. saturday, DH went to the convention with Deo and was supposed to meet our friends JJ and Tan and Eth there but there were so many people, they didn't end up finding each other. I kept DH company up to Kit and visited with my sis and niece and nephew in the meantime. DH and Deo went to Ada & Jea's to get the "hutch" (entertainment unit) which ended up mostly fitting in our car in pieces anyway. DH was just beaming though when he came back though - he had such a good time there, meeting his inspirations. i was so glad to see him so happy :) it was cute at my sister's...Eth kept kissing my belly "there's a baby in there!" he says...and then he gave "the baby" hugs. he tried lifting up my shirt too (i think he thought he could maybe SEE the baby, or feel the baby...? haha) - curious kids! *L*
Ada & Jea stayed over saturday night, and my parents dropped puppy back off here that night too and visited. sunday, Ada had his football draft thing that he does every year so DH drove Jea and i across the bridge and we did a bit of shopping. i bought a super cute, and soft, white bunting bag (i suppose that's what it's called) for Syd from Gap Kids (i couldn't resist), and DH insisted we get the onesie with a pig on it that said "tickled pink"...which is newborn to 3 months, and my sis just told me tonight that it will have to be an undershirt (makes sense), along with the one onesie we got from Ada & Jea - a white one that says "baby gap." they got Syd that, plus 2 other onesies (a "Valentine's Day" one, as Jea called it, and one that says "sweetie") and 2 pairs of baby gap magenta knee high socks - super cute! i can't wait to dress Syd in all these adorable clothes :) - these were early shower gifts as they don't think they'll be down Thanksgiving weekend (shower is probably saturday Oct 11, 2008)
Syd's been kicking a LOT today (the most ever in one day!) and it's SOOO awesome! i thought she was moving into the upside down position yesterday, but today she's everywhere. i felt her on my far left side at one point, as well as the normal pushing movement on my right side. i can tell she's growing bigger :) she is moving around on the left side a lot today...and around my belly button.
My sis was down with the kids (Deo's taking the train down later), and i went to the mall with them tonight. Eth gave the baby more hugs and kisses, and tried peeking under my shirt again to see the baby (while we're in Sears!)! persistant! *L*
yesterday, JJ and Tan stopped by and Tan was laughing at me. she couldn't believe how big my belly was. she said though, that's how she would have pictured me pregnant - all belly. a week or so ago, my neighbour, Cry, said i looked "so big and cute"...i said that's not a compliment you hear everyday ;)
well, 2 more months of work...officially yesterday. it's going to be weird, but i know i'll get used to it and be upset when i have to go back to work after mat leave. it seems like it'll be so painful...financially too with the daycare. we'll see how things go...
i told DH i kinda did want to do the 4D ultrasound, but he said that who knows, maybe one day they'll find out they were unsafe for some reason (i know too many u/s is not good for one thing, and we've already had 3)

you made mommy happy today like the subject says, i'm happy today because you're moving around!!! yesterday you had me worried. i felt you move a little here and there...which was weird cuz everyday, since i've felt the bigger movements, you've always had moments where you're quite active. this morning at 4:30am, you were squirming away - which was awesome and made me smile. and then you had breakfast with me this morning, which was also awesome :) yay!
it's good too because for some reason i have a lot of energy...so if you weren't wiggling, and i had all this energy (felt less pregnant) then i'd definitely be worrying and would probably end up calling our doctor.
love you baby and hope to meet you and hear your cries around Nov 2 :)
