We Have Moved!

Hi, I learned that I had used up the given space from this site (20 MB).  I considered to subscribe for another page from this site, but this one is especially made for pregnant ladies, so I decided to move on to another site, targeting babies.  SO here is the address to our new baby journal page:

http://www.babysites.com/sites/kana/

I have added one journal entry so far but have uploaded plenty of pics from Utah.  So please go to the site and check it out!  It would be nice if you could let me know how you like our new page...

First Teeth

Kana woke up at 8am and started fussing enough to wake me up.  I put my finger in her mouth to feel her gum (I've been doing this lately to see if her teeth are coming), and there they were, two on the bottom front and one on top.  They were still so short but I could feel them and see them.  I was so excited that I told Matt about it, and he goes, "oh no, please don't grow up so fast."  He told me that once she had teeth, she was going to bite many things and would probably not sleep at night.  True, she hasn't slept much lately and hasn't eaten much either.  She has been having diarrhea lately, and Matt told me that that was probably one of the symptoms of teething.  I looked into some more info on teething on the Net, but I found out that diarrhea was not a symptom of teething.  So I took her to the doc and got some drug for her tummy.  Hopefully her tummy will get better and her diaper rash will be healed soon.

Kana can also stand up holding onto something solid near her.  Today Matt was laying on a couch in the living room (he's been sick).  Kana crawled to him, and grabbed his arm, and stood up.  She could walk holding onto Matt's fingers as well.  It's so amazing to see her grow so rapidly.  Another thing, she screams (sqeeks) lately, and I don't know what that's all about.  She used to coo and that was cute.  She still does sometimes, but she loves to sqeek, and that hurts our ears.  But she loves doing that.

Matt has bronchites (I don't know how to spell it correctly).  He's had fever up to 103F since two Sundays ago.  I wanted to take him to the doc earlier, but he didn't want to go (He's so American).  But, last Saturday, his fever was 103F and he was really sick.  He finally agreed to go to the doc on Sunday, and the doctor told us that he had bronchites.  He's been resting since then, but hasn't really gotten any better.  The doc gave him antibiotics for 4 days, pain killers, and cough medicine, so hopefully he gets better in 3-4 days.  Other than bronchites, we found out that he has a big heart (the doctor said it's as big as it could go for his age and still be healthy) and Matt said, "Of course I do (infering that yes he is generous)."  Yes, he is sick but still strong enough to joke about stuff.  The doctor also told him that he had fatty liver and needed to lose weight.  So he really is going on a diet when he gets better.  Oh well, I might have said too much and Matt might get mad at me.  I better go now. Will put some pics of her teeth later.  Bye.

Happy 6 Month Old:)

Today was Kana's 6 month birthday.  We looked back when she was just born, how small and helpless she was.  Now she can sit by herself, crawl some, scoot fast to get to wherever she wants.  She can scream louder and says "mum mum," and we are trying to help her connect the word with me.  She loves to chew on her hands and plastic wrappers.  She smiles to everyone (except for our old landlord lady, although I think she is one of the sweetest people I've ever met in my life), and makes them happy.  She still needs us to entertain her sometimes, but she can play by herself for a while now.  She likes to dig into a basket which I keep all her toys and things to take care of her (like her comb, brush, diaper rash cream, etc).  Today, while I was on the phone with my friend, I heard her scream.  I looked back where she was, and there she turned the basket upside down and wearing it on her head.  I don't know if she wore it or the basket somehow fell on her, but it was cute.

We took her to a baby store nearby and got her toy as a 6 month b-day gift.  I know we spoil her a bit too much.  We got her some Japanese dresses she can wear next year (since they were on sale) as well.  We then took her to Jusco to weigh her.  Guess how much she weighs now?  Under or over 7 kg?  Well, Matt guessed that she would be over, and I said under.  She was 6960kg, which is a little under 7kg.  I won the bet.  So we had steak prepared by Matt, and it was good.  Thanks Kana.

I have been working on my Japanese blog lately.  It's been fun to learn how it works and I have fidgured out how to upload video clips onto the blog.  If you are interested, please visit my Japanese blog.  There are some new pictures there which I am planning to upload to this one as well sometime soon.   Please do keep coming back here sometime since I'm going to continue updating this one as well.
