Our Ultrasound
We had our ultrasound yesterday and found out that we are having a little GIRL!!! We are very excited to have a girl after already having little Braydon. I know that Braydon will make a great big brother! She was moving around like crazy for the ultrasound and actually "posing" for us! I was totally surprised to hear it's a girl because I was prepping myself for another boy. It will be great to get to experience both a boy and a girl. I am just going to have to watch the shopping trips because I know I am going to want to buy every cute little girl thing on the rack! I am not used to getting to pick out cute girly clothes!!!

Our little girl is healthy and doing well. She has all her little fingers and toes and is 9 oz. We haven't picked out a name yet, but now we can concentrate on girl names. Be sure to check out the ultrasound pictures!

4th month visit
We got to hear the baby's heartbeat once again and it was high at 160 beats/minute. Dr. says that means it's a girl, but I am not getting my hopes up! We have our ultrasound scheduled for March 12th so we will wait until then to find out for sure. I will be happy either way, but I can't help hoping for a little girl since we already have the cutest little boy ever!

I have been feeling okay. I can't seem to get away from feeling tired all of the time and have still been getting small doses of morning sickness, which is entirely unlike my pregnancy with Braydon. I am chalking it up to it being the second baby. I have already felt the first little flutters of movement which is always very exciting and makes me realize there is really a little life growing inside of me!

I have totally outgrown my clothes and am in a full-blown maternity wardrobe now. Of course I had to go shopping and add to my existing maternity wardrobe! They have some really cute clothes out right now.

We are going on vacation to Florida in March and I am so excited to get away! I can't wait to get to see my sister, brother-in-law and nephew. This will be the first time my sister has seen me pregnant (in person)! She is then coming up to visit when I am in my agonizing 9th month of pregnancy which should be a treat!   Unfortunately she will be here just shy of my due date, so she probably won't get to see her new little niece or nephew for a while.

I will keep you all updated when I have my ultrasound and we find out what we are having! (if the baby cooperates)

First Sounds of a Tiny Heartbeat!
Yesterday was our 2nd doctor's appt. and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. It was a strong heartbeat at 170 beats/minute. That's high and they say the higher the heartbeat, the more likely it's a girl, but I don't buy it! Braydon's heartbeat was always high around 158. So, who knows?!

My morning sickness has gone away like magic after 12 weeks, just like with Braydon. That makes me feel much better, but the tiredness hasn't gone away! I think that has a lot to do with it being winter too.

Braydon is learning that there is a baby in Mommy's tummy. He pats my tummy and says "baby" (which we have nicknamed "peanut") and he gives the baby hugs and kisses. It's so adorable! Braydon's nickname was "pinky" and you see what happened there, he was a boy! Oh, and by the way, we have already changed our minds and decided to find out what the gender of the baby is, which will be determined sometime in early March. Oh, you knew we would change our minds!

Well, that's all for now, but I will keep you posted as things progress!

Just Beginning
We recently found out I am pregnant with our second child and all is going well so far. I had my first doctor's visit last Monday and I am almost 9 weeks along now. That's only 3 more weeks in my first trimester! Woo hoo! The first trimester is the worst and on top of having morning sickness, I have been battling a really bad cold. It's been pretty miserable. But, the most important thing is that the baby is doing well and we get to hear his/her heartbeat on January 14th at our next Dr. visit.

We have decided that we will probably not find out the gender of the baby this time. We found out with Braydon and think we would like to be surprised with this little one. So, for all of those wishing for a girl this time, you will have to wait until I give birth!
