My youngest baby is already 3.5 weeks old - how can that be? Where has the time gone? Oh wait, I know......changing diapers, getting (broken) sleep, feeding babies, reading books, bathing babies, changing babies' clothes, doing laundry, cleaning house, washing dishes, making & eating food, napping, hugging & kissing babies, taking pictures, sending & receiving emails, reading blogs, watching TV (when I have a few minutes in the eveing to call "my own"), trying to maintain my sanity, among a few other things.
Life is good. Scratch that - Life is GREAT! I am busier now than I ever have been, and I am exhausted beyond belief. But I am blessed. I am in love. I am loved! I am a wife to my very best friend. I am a mother to two wonderful boys.
No more time to write, so I leave you with these...

Baby Has Arrived....
.............It's a BOY!
Wyatt Jack Sisler was born on December 24, 2007 at 11:32 PM. He weighed 8 lbs, 13.5 oz and was 20.5 inches long. VBAC delivery was a success (thank you GOD!) and we are all safe and healthy at home. We spent Christmas in the hospital where Jacob got to meet his little brother (mostly run around in the room though) and were discharged on the 26th.
Wyatt is the best Christmas present ever! He is such a wonderful addition to our family, and I am so honored to be Jacob's and his mommy. We are blessed with two beautiful sons; we could not ask for more.
Wyatt had his first check up yesterday (12/28) and he already weighs 9 lbs and is 21 inches long! He is a great nurser, and sleeps 2-3 hours at a time. We're exhausted but elated.
We have enjoyed celebrating Christmas with both sides of our family all week long. We have been able to share Jacob and Wyatt with family that is in from out of town, and been so awesome to remain flexible to accommodate!
This weekend is a quiet one, as we rest and recover, and find our new sense of "normalcy" as a family of four.....YEAH!!!
Welcome, Baby Wyatt!!!
2007-12-19 (39 weeks)
39-week appointment
I had my 39-week appointment today. Weight, BP, urine, Baby's heartbeat , fudal height, are all perfectly fine. No such luck of being 4 cm dialted and being told to head on over to the hospital. Well I guess I *could* technically deliver today, since there are 9 hours left in the day, but I'm showing no signs of it (though last night I was having frequent contractions) Cervix is far back, long, and closed. Bahhh Humbug.
Next steps are to have a Non-Stress Test and post-date appt on 12/26/07, and my Dr. will then tell me when she's able to "sqeeze me in" and "rearrange the O.R. schedule" for a planned c-section (she has to talk to the Charge Nurse at the hospital to arrange all of this), most likely on 12/27/07 in the evening or possibly 12/31/07. I will be post-date at that point and don't want to proceed with induction, so they will have to find time to schedule me for a c-section for 12/31 or before.
I guess this is a very busy time of year to have a baby. Apparently Christmas Eve is wide open to schedule a c-section, but who "signs up" to be in the hospital for Christmas, not to mention have major surgery? Ew - no thanks! I mean, I know it's a strong possibility for us to be there then anyway (in natural labor), but not in a planned, calculated way. Besides, that would, again, be like "throwing in the towel" a little early on any chance of a VBAC.
But still......anything can happen!
Sigh.
Such is the life of a pregnant lady. Anything goes; I'm just along for the ride!
