Thanks so much for checking in on me. I'm pretty excited to have 2 boys, even though I was convinced I was having a girl ;) It will be so great in a few months once Nate is mobile and they can start playing together. Jacob has been a really great big brother so far and seems to be adjusting well to the change in the household. He kisses Nate all the time (and he's pretty stingy with kisses) and seems to understand that he's "the baby" and Jake is our big boy now. I'm sure there will be adjustment periods, but he's really happy for the most part.
As I've said, my main regret with this birth is that I can't lift Jake for a few more weeks. I've got a lot of help from family though, so we'll get through it.
How are your boys doing? Is Wyatt crawling around yet? How has Jacob been handling the transition?
Congratulations on your wonderful Christmas gift Beth! I'm so glad you wrote, as I really haven't been keeping up on this site. That's great news that you had a successful VBAC, so happy to hear it. It's encouraging to hear the success stories and not the horror stories, and your labor went so smoothly too. Yay!
So, I guess you were allowed to go for a week past your due date? My OB said 41 weeks was the cutoff for me, and that he wouldn't do an induction. I'm hoping I'll go on my own by then since I went into labor with Jake the day before my due date.
Was your recovery much easier this time around? That's one of the main reasons I want to VBAC, so I can be mobile and able to lift Jake after the birth. As far as support, my mother will be staying with us for a few weeks and we also have my mother-in-law about an hour away so we have a good support team in place.
Thanks again for your comment and welcome to Earth little Wyatt!!
