Laura,
I am sorry that your old OB had the nerve to lie to you. At least it sounds like your new OB is honest and wants you to have the type of delivery you desire! Thats great news about the VBAC!!
So, you guys think Sprout is a girl? I can't wait to find out if y'all are right!!
Hugs,
Jenny

Laura,
yes, my doc said the same about not going past 41 weeks, and no to induction as well. We were actually about to schedule a repeat c-section, when I went into labor on my own. I was soooo thankful.
VBAC recovery was a million times better than c-section, physically and mentally. I was back to doing laundry, cooking, cleaning, lifting 2 babies, changing diapers, ect. within a few days - and that was with tearing and an episiotomy. Okay, I was probably doing more than I should have, but that's what mothers do afterall, right? :) Seriously though, I was feeling almost 100% within a week to 10 days, whereas I was not "myself" with Jacob until about 8 weeks. And I have SO much more energy (with the exception of sleep deprivation of course) this time around, while caring for an infant and a toddler!
The hardest part has been not being able to catch up on sleep while Wyatt naps - Jake just doesn't need that much sleep anymore! But you do what you have to do, of course - that's why I said to use your resources and get the help that you can. Oh, and I have a huge fear of going out in public by myself at the moment, I just can't fathom taking the two and arranging them in a shopping cart, keeping them both happy, keeping one from running away or any combination of the above, let alone having to change diaper(s) while out --- eeeessh! But I'm sure I'll overcome that fear at some point (or when I have a double stroller) but for now, why push it? Haha.
Hope you're having a happy pregnancy & having fun with Jake.
Warmly,
Beth
