3rd HPT today we took the 3rd home preg test this morning. :) since this is supposed to be the time to take it (one day after my missed period) and also since i have 1 left from the box i got last monday (i thought it would take us at least 3 months of trying to become pregnant :P ) ... so out of curiosity and for some peace of mind, i took the test and we were so happy and excited to see that the line which indicate pregnant is alot thicker! it's now thicker than the second line... this is very promising since this means the hCG level has gone up since last wed when i took the first 2 tests! :) yeh!! my baby is making good progress. good job baby! :)
eventhough it hasn't been a week since we found out, it seems soooo long and we are very anxious to go to my first prenatal which is another 4 weeks wait... i guess that's the down side of finding out this early... we have to wait longer before we see our baby ultrasound. most people don't find out til 6 weeks so they only have to wait for 2 weeks...oh well, we just gotta be patient...
i'm feeling ok. i've been getting more tired. still some cramping. i still have appetite, thank God. i heard that morning sickness usually kicks in around week 6... i hope i can be exempted from it. :)
i've heard that classical music is good for the development of the baby's brain, so i started listening to it beethoven.com at work. i'm not sure if this is a myth or not but it actually seems to have a calming effect to my mind and makes me quite relax during work. so i guess this is good for the baby's growth one way or another. :)
got a prenatal yoga DVD last night. my legs and hip are already becoming soar and tight. i need to do some stretching.
i told my boss about my pregnancy last Friday due to job safety. working in a lab concerns me a bit when i'm pregnant. will talk to the safety officer this afternoon....
we haven't told anybody in our family nor close friends yet. we only told the people we have to like my boss, and my hubby's HR person when he was inquiring about benefit. it seems like my benefit is better so i'll continue with mine. we wish we could share this good news with our loved ones. but it's still early and we just want to play it safe. don't want to cause any unnecessary emotional rollar coaster. so maybe after our 8 weeks prenatal visits, we'll see how it turns out and decide. if everything is good, we might announce to our family around Christmas time which will be my 10th week. :) |
