suspected

last night dinner was ok. they had seabass which i couldn't eat. most food were not appealing to me. my sis-in-law was the cook and she had filet mignon and asked who wanted well-done. i said me... so she went to grill a little more on mine. but when it came, it was still quite rare. my hubby took it into the kitchen to grill again... my sis-in-law said "what's up? you used to eat medium rare?" my hubby tried to cover up by saying that i have stomach problems... but everybody was sensitive and smart enough and said "you do seem like you're pregnant!!" i didn't dare to say a thing... they didn't ask further cuz they probably are 90% sure that i am... :P

after dinner, we had apple pie ala mode. i had the best appetite and ate the whole slice with French Vanilla ice-cream.. after getting home, i felt sick again but managed not to puke... during the past week or so, it seems that my appetite has changed. i am never a bread fan. but lately, the only thing i enjoy is the dinner roll... today for lunch, we had panini which i ate the whole thing!! :P

the inevitable morning sickness :(

i've been feeling nauseous since tuesday (11/20)... great .. just in time for thanksgiving holiday... i have been trying to ease it out by eating salt & vinegar chips, drinking ginger ale and snacking on ginger strips.... last night, we had an early thanksgiving dinner with my family at Chevy's. i got a chicken fajita salad. to my surprise, i was able to eat  a good portion... but after i got home, i started feeling quite sick and i had to just throw up... .so i guess my morning sickness... well, "all-day sickness"  rather, has arrived right after i started Week 6. i got the sea bands today. hope they work...

i'm at my hubby's parents place. i hope i can manage to eat without puking tonight. i'm having ginger ale and snacking on saltine crackers. hope no one suspects anything...

our trip last weekend was ok. it's too hard to be on the road while pregnant since my diet is so restricted. i have never realized how most restaurants have half or more of their dishes with seafood. the wedding banquet we went to was basically a 10 course seafood feast!! i was starving by the 7th course and had to leave early and have some noodles at the restaurant next door... i'm trying to cut out all seafood in fear of having high mercury level in me. not until i get an ok sign from the dr. i'll refrain from them... which are my favorites...

pregnancy symptoms

forgetfulness and absentminded are symptoms of pregnancy but they usually don't come til 2nd tri. so not sure what i had...i'm usually on top of things but it seems like i've lost my brain recently...tomorrow me and hubby will be going out of town for the weekend. last night it dawned on me that i forgot to ask my brother to dog-sit my dog. i called him up real quick and found out that he'll be out of town as well... called my other brother and found out..so will he... my hubby frantically searched on-line for pet shelters and this morning he called and passed the evaluation. so my doggie is now at the shelter... poor baby... :( i hope this symptom will not get worse or i'll be in big trouble.

besides that absentminded symptom, i've started to have another pregnancy symptom last night:  the milk factory is gearing up into production mode!! :) i've read sooooo many on-line pregnancy sites about all the early preg symptoms and breast tenderness and soarness rank quite high. i have been complaining about the lack of this symptoms to my hubby and worried that i'm not pregnant anymore. last night, i was proud to tell him about my newly developed symptom. :) well, physically, it's not really something i like to experience. but emotionally, it's very encouraging. i guess most pregnant women have this love/ hate relationship with these pregnancy symptoms. when you have them, they're quite annoying. when you don't have any symptoms, you wonder if you're still pregnant. well, i guess one symptom i don't long for is morning sickness. hope it will not come before thanksgiving or Christmas or my b-day in Jan... then i'll be into my 2nd tri! :)

3rd HPT today

we took the 3rd home preg test this morning. :) since this is supposed to be the time to take it (one day after my missed period) and also since i have 1 left from the box i got last monday (i thought it would take us at least 3 months of trying to become pregnant :P ) ... so out of curiosity and for some peace of mind, i took the test and we were so happy and excited to see that the line which indicate pregnant is alot thicker! it's now thicker than the second line... this is very promising since this means the hCG level has gone up since last wed when i took the first 2 tests! :) yeh!! my baby is making good progress. good job baby! :)

eventhough it hasn't been a week since we found out, it seems soooo long and we are very anxious to go to my first prenatal which is another 4 weeks wait... i guess that's the down side of finding out this early... we have to wait longer before we see our baby ultrasound. most people don't find out til 6 weeks so they only have to wait for 2 weeks...oh well, we just gotta be patient...

i'm feeling ok. i've been getting more tired. still some cramping. i still have appetite, thank God. i heard that morning sickness usually kicks in around week 6... i hope i can be exempted from it. :)

i've heard that classical music is good for the development of the baby's brain, so i started listening to it beethoven.com at work. i'm not sure if this is a myth or not but it actually  seems to have a calming effect to my mind and makes me quite relax during work. so i guess this is good for the baby's growth one way or another. :)

got a prenatal yoga DVD last night. my legs and hip are already becoming soar and tight. i need to do some stretching.

i told my boss about my pregnancy last Friday due to job safety. working in a lab concerns me a bit when i'm pregnant. will talk to the safety officer this afternoon....

we haven't told anybody in our family nor close friends yet. we only told the people we have to like my boss, and my hubby's HR person when he was inquiring about benefit. it seems like my benefit is better so i'll continue with mine. we wish we could share this good news with our loved ones. but it's still early and we just want to play it safe. don't want to cause any unnecessary emotional rollar coaster. so maybe after our 8 weeks prenatal visits, we'll see how it turns out and decide. if everything is good, we might announce to our family around Christmas time which will be my 10th week. :)
