2008-08-13 (37 weeks)

37 Weeks
Hi all -- Not too much new to report this week! At this point you are all probably like we are -- just have the baby already! We had a Dr's appt on Monday..I'm still 2cm but starting to efface which is good news. Other than being tired and going to the bathroom every 10 minutes I feel good. The most annoying thing is hearing other peoples comments every time I go somewhere -- some people just stare, some like to point out how big I am and tell me I am just going to "pop" at any minute, and others give you that look and say something to the effect of "oh you poor thing"...I'm pregnant not crippled, but thanks!?!? We are getting anxious.....and I don't think I can clean the house anymore than it is! :) Hope you all are well!

2008-07-29 (35 weeks)

35 Week Appt

Hi All -- We had our first of weekly appt's yesterday - at 35 weeks and 2 days. The babies heart rate was 138 and I am right on schedule size wise. We also found out that I am 1 cm dilated, but not effaced at all....and the baby is in the right position! We were excited to hear that, even though it doesn't necessarily mean anything! We got the car seat in the car last night-man those things take up a lot of room!

We are still keeping busy around the house with projects -- the deck is almost done! I figure if we keep busy things will happen quicker than sitting around waiting. We narrowed down to two girl names over the weekend so we are now all good on the name front -- assuming we don't change our minds at the last minute! I am getting more and more excited about being off of work for 3 months......although getting everything ready at work for those 3 months isn't very fun -- and I am NOT very motivated!

2008-07-14 (33 weeks)

32 week Appt.

Hi All - A little update on us! We had our "32" week appt last week..which was really 33 weeks -- everything was great, the baby's heart beat was 152 bpm--it's been consistently the same the last few appts. The dr. said I have to hold on for 3 more weeks than anytime after that I am okay to go! That was kind of scary hearing that as you plan everything for that magic due date - which in the end doesn't really matter much! My gut is that I will go early (watch me eat my words!) We started our childbirth classes last week--should be interesting! We have those every thursday in July.

We are pretty much 'ready' at home as far as the nursery goes-or as much as you think you need things to be ready for something you will have no clue what to do with! :) We are continuing on with our projects at home-the deck, possibly some landscaping in the backyard. It tires me easily, but it is good to keep moving and active.

We get another ultrasound on the 4th so we will update you then!! Hope you are all enjoying the hot summer!
