Hi Everyone!

As you can see in the picture section we just had our 20 week ultrasound/appt yesterday!   Everything went great and there appears to be no problems.   "The" baby ( we still don't know what it is...other than human!)  was approximately 13 ounces and the heart rate was 158.  The baby was butt down head up and was sleeping through most of the ultrasound-however, it did wake up at the very end so we got to see a big strech and this is when it put it's arms in front of it's face in the one ultrasound picture.    That was really neat to see it moving around in the 3D. 

Eric has felt several kicks now and I can start to feel much more movement on a daily basis as well - you can tell the baby is running out of 'free roam' space as sometimes body parts will be pushing out of my belly which isn't the most comfortable but is really neat to feel!   The baby is most active during the day and early evening -- which means once born, it will sleep through the night and until about 8 am right???!!!  My parents were out two weekends ago and my mom got to feel a little kick which was great to share.

Eric painted the nursery last week and we got new carpet in this week.    We also bought a crib last weekend, but have to wait for it to come in stock..of course!  We can't wait to get it up in the nursery.   The color of the nursery is a cream color with a hint of yellow -- and our accent colors are muted greens, maroons, browns and the like.    We have some decor but there is still more to get.    Our first trip to babies r us was crazy - neither of us had ever been in one -- it was like walking into a cult!     There was a million of everything..soooo many options!  We can't wait to do the registry--I will have to keep a close eye on Eric.

HI All!    Today we are 17 weeks and had our 16 week check up on Monday.    Everything went well, we heard the heartbeat again and it was 153.  That was about all the appointment consisted of - even though it took an hour!      

April 14th is our 'big' appointment where we will get another ultrasound and also get to see the ultrasound in 3D - we are very excited for that!    

I *think* I am starting to feel the baby move -- it's hard to tell if I am making it up in my head or if I really feel something.  I am sure as the weeks go by I will be more aware of what I am suppose to be feeling.  

Eric is in Vegas for the rest of this week and through the weekend so I am home alone (a mini vacation for me and baby!)  I am thinking I will get really crazy on friday night and sit down with a chick flic, a bottle of water and my heating pad.    :)  

Once Eric get's back from Vegas we are allowing ourselves to start on the nursery full force....that will be fun :)    Although, I still can't walk down the baby aisle at the store without freaking out a little bit.   We will have to take it slow!

Hi All!    This is a little late going up - I will blame being sick!   Eric and I had our 12 week appt two weeks ago-and though it wasn't an exciting appointment (they ask a lot of quetsions and do blood work), we did get to hear the heartbeat again, this time with the doppler-it was beating away!     Our next appointment is the 17th - we for sure do not get another ultrasound until the appt after that - 20th week.   

I have been feeling pretty good - other than sleeping being a little disrupted and headaches - I have been having more energy and felt like doing more around the house.   I am finally not traveling for work for a couple weeks so we are looking forward to starting some baby oriented projects around the house.

Hi Everyone - Welcome to our webpage as dorky as it may be!    Everything has been going good -we are 12 weeks (even though the ticker says only 11 weeks).   I am feeling less tired and more pregnant by the day.  I'm finally starting to show a little bit - enough that none of my clothes fit me so I have already started wearing some maternity clothes - they are a little big, but elastic is my new best friend! 

Eric has been great about taking care of me (or more appropriately, putting up with me!)  He is very excited about the next ultrasound - which I am not sure if we will get one at our 12 week appt next Tuesday or not since we had one at 8 weeks.    For those of you who hadn't heard - we had an ultrasound at 8 weeks - the baby was about an inch long and we were able to hear the heart beat through the u/s machine and it was 178 bpm.     

The next appt on Tuesday the 18th is the one where we hear the heartbeat via the doppler, they ask a million quetisons and run blood tests.   We would have had an ultrasound for sure for one genetic test they do, however, we opted out of getting that test done.
