Telling my parents This was something especially hard for me to do, I don't know why since my parents are not the type to judge me or criticize me. I can be open with them and vice versa. Well, the day finally came to explain to my parents that I am expecting a child and that they will be grandparents. I picked up my cell phone and dialed away. My mom answered and I calmly said "Hi mom how are you?" she said "Fine". I proceeded to say that I had some really great news to tell her and blurted out: "YOUR GOING TO BE A GRANDMA!!!". Silence for almost 2 seconds filled the room but finally she responded back quite calmly and reassuring. She asked me how I found out, I told her that I took a home pregnancy test and it was the ones that say pregnant or not pregnant. She asked me how many periods I had missed obviously one I told her. Then, she said "WELL, LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE", to get ready for a having a child and to plan things out well. I thought she was going to flip, but she took it very well as did my father. He told me that he heard about the news and that he was glad to be a grandfather and also to take care of myself. I think that day my fear got the best of me when it shouldn't have been that way. I thank God for giving me the kind of parents and family I have........

Positive or Not? This was the day that determined it all.....whether I was pregnant or not. I decided to go ahead and buy the home pregnancy test from my local drug store( the ones that tell you right away PREGNANT OR NOT PREGNANT) just to be sure. I proceeded home to put my worries to the test. I did what I had to do(pee on the little test stick) and waited 5 minutes for the results that would change my life. As I anxiously waited.. the time came to look upon that stick and see the result. To my surprise the big bold PREGNANT sign appeared on the screen. My heart began to beat fast and I got a sudden case of the giggles but the nervous ones. I couldn't believe it, I AM PREGNANT!!!!!!!! i said. I proceeded to open the bathroom door and show it to my boyfriend and he was also in shock. We both looked at each other but to my surprise, he was more calm than I was. The hard part had just passed, now is the real deal we have to wait for....... our baby
