Hi all. I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I am very concerned about my brother's oldest son. His parents believe that he is ADHD and I really feel it is wrong. I've been researching this for days and he really has none of the symptoms. So, what happens if they take the kid into the psychiatrist and they tell him whatever they think makes the kid ADHD...will this doc just believe the parents without any real look at the kid? I'm just concerned b/c I just read another post on here where a lady said that their doc just had her fill out a questionaire and they got a diagnoses from that.
Also, the main symptom they are going off of is that he's having problems with taking his pants down literally everywhere. I think he's even been trying to get other kids to take their pants down. This has been going on for months, but this isn't ADHD, is it?
I have noticed since everyone has been more sensitive about him being this way, and thus, being more attentive to him, his behavior is much better. So, does that mean ADHD, or he just needs more attention from his parents?
