Oh Heather, I soooo understand.My son is 10 and although he is not destructive,we are constantly fighting over homework, eating, listening, going to bed.I don't know what to do either. Chante, you are saying you are an adult with ADHD with a son with ADHD as well. I have ADHD and have 2 boys with this illness (3rd one is 1.5 : too early to say) and I do reach my limits at the end of the afternoon / in the evening. I cannot control my angryneess and shout at everyone. Any tips for resources on how the adult with ADHD should behave with kids with ADHD ?

| Hmmm, not sure if anyone will read this. I have a son with ADHD and I am at the end of my rope. I too feel like I have been given a life sentence. I too am so tired of all the arguing, shouting, fighting, disruption in my life. I am so tired. I so no hope. I feel I have tried everything, I have read all the books I could read, tried to give as much positive re inforcement as I can. But the negative behaviour happens so frequently on a daily basis, it just wears down my soul............ ↑ |

| I am so glad I found this site. It helps to know that I am not alone. I have a girl, 8, with ADHD and two other children with autism and I can tell you hands down the child with ADHD is a lot harder to deal with than the two with autism. Does anyone have any good websites for suggestions on helping children with ADHD? ↑ |
