They are both excercise programs that are supposed to be a way to treat or cure ADHD and other things such as Dyslexia, without using medication. If you google "Dore" you will get a lot of information, you will also see information about "Learning Breakthrough" which is similar, but a lot less expensive. I think Dore is about $4000-5000 and Learning Breakthrough is about $400. Please take a look at these and let me know what you think. Is it a scam, or do you really think it is worth trying.
If anyone has tried it or knows anyone that has tried it please let me know what you think. Thank you, Moe-bird

Has anyone had a chance to look up the Dore program or Learning Breakthroug program on the Web? It would be great if either of these programs worked and we could be medication free!! Please if you get a chance look them up and let me know if you think that they are worth trying? Thank you.

ive had the chance to read the dore program and it sounds very interesting. i guess it wouldnt hurt to try it, if it works and keep children off med that would be awsome unfortunately i didnt see they offered this in canada so youll have to keep us posted if it works good luck. the only way you will know is if you try it out, you could alsways attend seminars first to get a feel for it. i dont think its a cure but sounds like great results in reducing symptoms witch is great. keep me posted

You could order the Learning Breakthrough Program on-line. I think it is about $400. It is a home based program similar to the Dore Program. You can google it also. They have a sample movie you can view to see the excercises. Let me know what you think. Thanks,

i have viewed the breakthrough program and find it very imformative and backed up by the media. It seems to have successes i am going to bring this info to my sons worker and see what she thinks. I believe this to be a great idea but im wondering if this is going to work if behaviours are there because what if our children dont want to do it, i didnt see a money back gaurantee if that were the case. i may call tomorror to find out about the money back gaurentee but not sure if i would get through it looks to be american number but ill try. thanks for sharing this i wish i had heard about this awhile back. Have you purchased it yet?

Hi, I have to let you all know, my son is on the DORE program and WOW!!! what a difference!!!
It really has helped. He was a mix of aspergers, adhd, and classed as just difficult and behind in writing skills etc. He has been on the program now for nearly 6 months, but we noticed a positive change after the first 2 months. He is now listening, answering when spoken to, does simple tasks when asked, hand writing improved, stop beating up on his younger brother....
The list goes on!
We noticed a time (which lasted about a month) where his behaviour and actions seemed to deteriorate again, however they tell you this might happen as the brain learns to use the new neural pathways.
This was a difficult time but we are now on the other side and really can see the benefits of the dore program.
We are paying the program off with the help of a finance company, Hanover, which we are paying over 3 years, which the dore consultant organised. So the cost is really a minor factor when we see our child grow and change into the wonderful person with the personality we knew was in there.
I highly recommend the program, it may seem like hard work to do the 5-10 minutes morning and night of exercises, and your child may protest (ours still does), but the results are amazing!!
If you can, give it a go and see your child really come alive and be respected by others. Nothing is better than the first time your child is complimented on how well they sat and listened during a class! wow!!

Hello, this is my first post, and I am looking for other parents or individuals who have had good response to the Dore program. My son is 14, had innattentive aDHD, and is currently in month 5 of the program. We are just beginning to see some benefit. But, like one poster mentioned, it is not unusual to have a period or two of discombobulation or setbacks along the way, which we have seen. I have started what has become a very active and busy thread for Dore mums on an ADHD forum. Any of you are welcome to take a look at what other mothers are saying about it. We have everyone from moms just starting with their children to those who are through, and are there to cheer the rest of us on. I hope that it is alright with the administrators here to post this link.

I did some research on the Dore Program and got a free DVD in the mail from them. You can order one yourself if you want. Go onto www.doreusa.com and they will send you one.
It is a drug free alternative treatment for Dyslexia, adhd, and other learning difficulties. The cover of the Dore Program DVD says that it directly addresses a physiological source of learning and attention problems by using customized exercises to stimulate a part of the brain called the cerebellum. The cerebellum plays a key role in cognitive, behavioral, and attention related activities. The program is drug free and non invasive.
I can't use it on my son yet because it is for children 8 and over. Plus it is expensive. Over $400.
The Learning breakthrough program is basically the same thing and a little less expensive. But they don't have a payment plan and if you can't afford it how are you supposed to get the help you need for your children?

Google "dore program". They seem to have many problems and plenty of high pressure sales reps that prey upon vulnerable parents looking for a fix that works. Not only that, but the program is extremely expensive.
The Dore Program has been coming under a lot of fire over the last few days with complaints about the way its sold and strong criticism of the scientific research. Now, five board members of the scientific journal Dyslexia that published the study have resigned in protest. http://www.myomancy.com/2006/11/scientists_resi

My daughter was classified as sever dyslex until she went through a dore programme in 2002/03. She has completed year 12 is is studying a diploma in child care. She would not have been able to achieve this without the programme.

My son finished the programme about May 07 . He was a poor reader, speller, bad behaviour, you name it...(Definately not what you would call one of the good lads) But now he can read normally, spell ok and all i can say is if i knew then what i know now i would have paid £10,000 happliy for him to do the programme. It has definatley changed the. direction of his life. Hes now 18 yrs old and in the RoyaL Navy, and a credit

o,
DORE Team ,
I had a talk with one of your team member , that I still have one and half a year of time as my daughter who is having medium level Dyspraxia , since she is just five and half years old.
I did a lot of study and discussed with occupational therapist about DORE programme and I deduced that it would be very useful for my daughter's cure. I came to know that the DORE programme also works online but I would like to have a personal consultation at least once at the beginning of the programme. I am an Indian citizen , please advise me which centre would be more convenient and helpful for me.
India being a very big country with a diversified population of 1.2 billion people, among them 33% are children below 14 years of age. Statistics shows that atleast 2% of children are severely Dyspraxic.
Other than Dyspraxia there are children with Dyslexia , ADHD , ADD and with other learning difficulties. Considering all these , I suggest the DORE team to open a DORE centre in India .
Many children will be benefitted if they have a DORE centre which is easily conveyable for their treatment.

Thanking You,
