My daughter, 6.5 years old, was diagnosed with ADHD 4 weeks ago. She was put on Adderall and now goes to counseling once a week. My family was told, of course, and my sister-in-law proceeded to attack me on Facebook. Yes, folks, in a public forum saying that I don't "face the real issues" and I make her sick for putting my kid on medication. She hasn't spoken with me in months, so knows NOTHING about what's going on with my daughter. Her teacher first brought up her suspicions back in November and I waited thinking "she's just 6" and that it was normal. After problems got worse, I took her to her pediatrician AND got her professionally tested. She has severe ADHD. How do you all deal with family like this. My SIL is so ignorant and it kills me.
