I'm a psychotherapist and you can try to find a good therapist to brainstorm with about ways to improve your ADHD symtpoms. It can be done without medication, however the general medical consensus (as far as I've been told) is still medication. The struggle you might have is finding a therapist who is aware of the special issues that adults with ADHD suffer from. Some people still don't even think it exists in adulthood. There is a good magazine called "ADDitude" and it is aimed at both adults and children with ADHD. There are also a lot of books being written on the subject of ADHD and adult ADHD too.

I diagnose along with my daughter, I didn't want to take meds, still don't , but I find that when I give in and take them I'm so much more on task and focused, My only concern is the health risks.
