like amanda i am pregnant too, ive never had a baby. but what are you scared of with the c section? alot of women go through them and both them and their babys are ok. my mother just had a little girl about a year ago and wouldnt come out..lol..like she was about 2 weeks overdue, so they had to do a c section, now i have a beautiful baby sister and my mom still looks great..!!!...i dont think you have to stay in the hospital that long..probably a couple of days and then they tell you what to do from there. if you could tell me, because ive never had a baby, what breech is? good luck and dont worry about the c section, its just another way to deliver another beautiful baby into this world.

I have never had one myself, but I have 2 children already and one on the way. I have some friends who have had them and they are up and on the same track as someone who delivered naturally. The way medicine is now---you will be up and feeling pretty good. I think that the happiness of holding your baby out weighs the discomfort of the C-section. My second baby was also breech and then more towards the end--she turned on her own. There might still be hope. If you are really worried about it, you can always ask your doctor about turning the baby for you. It isn't the best feeling ever (my girldfriend had it done) and the other thing is, If they do get the baby turned--it can always turn back around on it's own.
Good luck!!

I had a c-section and I can say its no fun. Of course the area were its been cut is going to hurt for a few days. I know they don't take that long to do. I stayed in the hospital for five days. I got sick and thats why I stayed in longer. I know if You and the baby are fine, your out in less time. Keep up with your visits. My problem was that I could not dialate. I am due in November and am hoping I can have the baby normal this time. Good luck and Congradulations.

I'm 21 and pregnant with my second baby due in Dec. I had an emergancy cesar with my first little girl because her heart rate dropped, she was 8lb 9 1/2 oz, and quite honestly i'm kinda glad I didn't have to push her out. and I've decided to have a c-section with this one as well, because I'm a big wuss, and don't want to have to put up with the pain of labour. i was up the next day walking around the next day after my ceserian, don't remember much extra pain, they give you lots of pain killers, and my baby was healthy and strong. so don't get yourself worried about it because once you've got that beautiful little baby in your arms, you forget about everything!!!! GOOD LUCK, AND ENJOY THE JOYS OF MOTHERHOOD!
