Hi, this is my first pregnancy and I have a lot of concerns and questions. I have searched the internet but I have come to realize that the answers are not all on paper. For example, do you usually have cramps during your first trimester. My husband is in the millitary and I feel as though I am going to be going through this wonderful experience with out him. Are their any idea's on how to stay together even though we are miles and miles apart sometimes.

This is also my first pregnancy - due in December. I also had cramps , especially around weeks 8 and 9. They weren't bad, just irritating and scary. Everyone told me something different about them. So I asked my doctor (why did I wait?), and he said that it was not uncommon to have mild cramping. I still had concerns, but the doctor's reassurance helped. Also, I figured out that driving made it worse, but when I reclined or lay down they eased somewhat.

I'm due in early March also. This is my 3rd pregnancy, 4th baby (I have twins in the mix) and I still worry about everything. Don't be afraid to ask your doctor anything and everything. I like to keep a notebook, and whenever I have a question or concern I write it down to take it to my next appointment. Good Luck with everything!!!

Hi all. I am due 9th march 2006. We are both excited and apprehensive as to be expected with our first child.

In response to original thread, if there is mail or internet available to you both you can write and send photographs of you and ultrasounds of your growing baby to him and express to him how you can feel your body changing and how that makes you feel as a woman and also being his wife making this beautiful creation together.

If you are worried of going through this alone and want people who are willing to listen and share your concerns, we are all here for you (I assume we can be contacted somehow).

Take care and good luck. I'll check back to see if you have replied and want to talk.

I'm due march 7 and im almost 6 weeks and I also have cramps and don't know if they are normal.

Im about the same into my pregnancy as you and I have little twinges in the centre at the most lowest part of my tummy. I think it is normal. But then again so is heartburn, nausea, tiredness, coupled with sudden and quite extreem energy bursts, exhileration and optimism.

Dont worry about your body changing, it is preparing itself for a huge overhaul; it is a huge event for the body to come to terms with not just our minds.

Hi, 1st time too, only 4 weeks gone. My partner and I have been trying for a while and finally here we are. I have had amazing cramps, my period was due the past few days, its been like that, period pain without bleeding. I had this one full on cramp where I thought my insides wanted to head outside. It's scary and irritating and stressful. I went to the doctor, had an ultrsound and of course no one could see anything as it is all too new. I think the body goes through such craziness at the beginning, its so used to menstrating each month that it may take a while to settle down. My mum said with her pregnancies each montha round the time of her period (when pregnant) she would have cramping. I guess we just have to be careful and look after ourselves and wait and see. I went for a swim, slow and easy, and it stretched out my body and eased the cramping.

I am due around the end of febuary, or the beginning of march. My doctor told me around March 2nd, but he said that could be a few days off either way. I have really bad cramps in the morning when i wake up...Some times i dont know if they are ever going to go away...This being my first pregnany, and only 17 at that, it scares me knowing everything just came on so quick...1 week i dont know, the next i find out im a month pregnant, then everything started to just come one thing at a time...So it kinda scares me, but im sure i'll get thru this, and every one else will too...Goodluck to all of you! :)
Think about how happy you guys are together, when you do get to spend time together. Think about how happy you'll be when you seehim again, That will keep you guys together for sure.

This is my first pregnancy and I feel the same way you do. Cramping seems to be pretty common, so far as I have gathered from other forums and books and stuff. I am not married, and although my boyfriend wants to marry me right now, I don't know if that is too rash a decision to be good. I just want it all to work out well and everyone to be happy. Sorry if I am depressing you, I just need someone to talk to.

My hubby is also in the military :) Air Force to be exact. He is on non-deployable status at the moment. This is my first pregnancy.
Are you able to speach to your husband on the phone while he is deployed? I was able to speak to mine everyday when he was in Iraq. I know it is different depending on which branch he is in and what his job is. Mine is in telecommunications. Try to find out if he would be able to use international calling cards. Alot of deployed troops don't even know that they are able to call home!

hmm the twinges I have experienced are getting stronger and today I even had some pink discharge which looked like the end of a period. I have had no blood as such but it was a concern non-the-less.

Im 6 weeks and have heard that you may get some blood around the time you have got your second period, but the timing is out for that. I have an ultrasound on Monday so all will come clear then (hopefully).

Wish me luck...

I'm pregnant with my first baby too but due starting of november.I also experienced cramps in my first trimester.I went to the emergency room because they became so unbearable and painful and lasted for nearly 3 days straight. It tuned out to be nothing and it was just my womb stretching for the baby. But I would advise you go see your GP just incase to be on the safe side.Hope all goes well.

Hi just found out last week that we're pregnant through a blood test!!! Our first!! We're super excited. Due date should be in March.. Will know more after our first ultra sounds on the 28th... Cant wait for it... Havent had any nausea but do feel the lil twinges at the top of my abdomen. No other symptoms besides missed period... Has anyone else experience this? I mean the no other symptoms part.

i'm due either late feb/early march... will find our more after our first u/s.
i think 1st trimester cramping is totally normal. don't read too much about it or you'll obsess about miscarriage. your uterus is expanding, as are all the ligaments supporting it. it's bound to hurt a little. :)

Due February 17th...Also my first preganancy. And I'm 36 years old. I've experienced cramps very similiar to menstral cramps as well. I was concerned as well but learned from my doctor that this is normal in the first trimester as long as the pain in not severe. Bless us all. :-)

Just read your post....Thinking of you Ann-Marie...Let us know how things go. God bless.

Thanks Steph, I had an U/S the other day and the baby's heart beat is going strong thankfully. I suspect the pink colour was the cervix closing, which is a good sign that the baby is in the right place.

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Hi. I'm also nearly 7 wks pregnant, first time. I, too, noticed pink spotting that turned light brown with cramping. I went for an US last week and they saw nothing. I'll be going again this monday, hopefully they'll see something...is that normal. I know I'm being paranoid...it's just that this is my first pregnancy and everything scares me
