I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a really easy to use camcorder. I was thinking about one of those that records right onto a dvd. Of course it needs to be digital because I do everything on the computer, too. Oh, and only up to about $250.

I know that doesn't sound like a baby topic - but I really want to get one before the baby gets here so that we can take some good quality videos of the little critter. I've never bought one so I don't even know where to start.

Hey nicole... I just thought I would say that I have one of the cameras that records right onto dvd. It was 600$ and I would't recommend it. The one we have records onto ram discs and it's a huge pain and they are expensive to find. I would invest in a good one that records either just onto a memory card, or onto thos little tapes.

I don't know what you could get for that price. Gary and I jsut got one for christmas and we had been pricing them before that and there were about 500-700 for DVD one that had some other decent features. I was soooo happy when my parents got us one for christmas.

Costco has a bunch in a really good price range, I think this week would be the best sales to find on.

ya I am sure that there are a ton on sale right now. I jsut looked at bestbuy.com and they have some of the mini dvd recorder ones for like 299.00 but I don't know how good of a quailty they are. The digital stuff is really my husband and my dad's area :)

wal-mart has some nice ones for 250/300 but they record on the little tapes and not DVDs...but most of my friends that have bought the DVD ones have returned them, because they end up not working very good...most say the mini tape ones are better

Wow, lol.... good thing I asked, huh? I guess the dvd recorder is out! Sounds like they suck! haha.

I'll have to start looking at the ones with a memory card.
