OK, SO I KNOW I'M SOUNDING UNGRATEFUL, BUT I HAVE BEEN REALLY, REALLY SICK. ITS ONLY REAL BAD EARLY IN THE MORNING WHEN I'M GETTING READY FOR WORK AND LATE IN THE EVENING WHEN I GET HOME. I CAN'T COOK, CLEAN, BATHE CHRISTIAN, OR ANYTHING. I'LL ADMIT, I HAVEN'T HAD TO VOMIT YET, BUT MY STOMACH UP TO MY THROAT HURTS AND I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO VOMIT, BUT NOTHING EVER COMES UP. I CANNOT EVEN LOOK OR THINK ABOUT RANCH DRESSING!!!! YUK!!! RIGHT NOW I HAVE TO PUKE THINKING ABOUT IT. I HATE FAST FOOD, SODA, AND ANYTHING GREASY. FUNNY THING IS, I USED TO LOVE ALL OF THAT STUFF. I KNOW I REALLY ONLY HAVE ONE MORE MONTH TO GO, BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW THE HELL I'M GONNA GET THROUGH IT. I WAS CRYING SO HARD IN BED LAST NIGHT AND TODD CAME UPSTAIRS LOOKING ALL HELPLESS. SO, I SENT HIM TO THE STORE FOR PLAIN CRACKERS, CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP, AND A CANTELOPE MELON. WEIRD COMBO, RIGHT? ANYWAY, I FELT A LITTLE BETTER AFTER THAT. BUT IT HAS BEEN SO HARD THESE PAST 2 WEEKS. I AM REALLY JUST TRYING TO DEAL WITH IT AND NOT COMPLAIN, BUT IT IS VERY HARD, ALMOST LIKE I WISH I WASN'T PREGNANT. PLEASE DON'T CHASTISE ME FOR SAYING THAT, BUT I DO NOT LIKE HOW I FEEL. I REALLY WANT TO CRY RIGHT NOW. I JUST NEED A LITTLE HELP AND MAYBE SOME ADVICE AS TO HOW YOU ALL DEALT/DEAL WITH YOUR SICKNESS.

NOW, I KNOW I SOUND CRAZY B/C I ALREADY HAVE A 4 YR. OLD AND MY SICKNESS WAS VERY SEVERE WITH HIM, BUT I JUST NEED SOME FRESH ADVICE ON HOW TO COPE. OH, ANOTHER REASON WHY I DO NOT WANT TO VOMIT WITH THIS PREGNANCY IS B/C I DON'T WANT TO START LOSING WEIGHT LIKE I DID WITH CHRISTIAN. I LOST SO MUCH WEIGHT FROM BEING SICK WITH HIM, I DON'T WANT TO DO THAT AGAIN. IF I LOSE ANY WITH THIS PREGNANCY, SHIT, I WILL JUST DISSAPEAR, B/C I AM ALREADY TALL AND SKINNY AS IT IS!

PLEASE HELP ME. :(

I wish I could give you some helpful advice on your morning sickness but I don't really have any. I had sever morning sickness with both my son and my daughter. It was actually worse with my daughter. With my son I was put on Zofran which help immediately. However with my daughter they had put me on three different medications and none of them worked. I did find that napping during the day help somewhat. I know it can be difficult when you have another child in the house to take care of since I have a 3 year old. Also eat small meals. If you eat to much or to little you will also feel worse. Hopefully you will not have to deal with this for longer then 12 weeks. I had morning sickness with my daughter until week 16.

i agree with jujubug. peppermints or candycanes are great for nausea.

Here are some things that worked for me:
peanuts and raisins together
graham crackers and peanut butter
eating ritz or saltines - just a couple - before even getting out of bed in the morning - and with no beverage
drink liquids in between meals, not while you are eating
preggie pops - you can get them at Motherhood Maternity, probably other places too, but that's where I got them
try to keep your blood sugar even by eating protein and carbs together
even just the smell of peppermint helped - like a candle maybe?

Hope that helps! I had really bad morning sickness with both of my pregnancies:)

But some crackers beside the bed and eat some when you wake up and just lay there for a little while.. It really works :-D

I just lived off saltines and chicken noodle soup, that's all that ever tasted good or made me feel ok to eat. Just hang in there.

ok - Some things that worked for me - and I mean settled it - not cured - Chamomile tea - this worked until i got sick of it and the thought of it made me sick - but my point is it worked. The next one I tried was apparently a yoga move - Pu7lling your tongue, get a goog grip on the tip of your tongue and pull firmly on it for 10-15 seconds. - Amazingly - while this was not a cure - it would certainly help short term. And finally - The thing that I just would not have survived without - DH. I could not cook for 3 months. I basically could not look at food until I could eat it really quick - after I had eaten I would be fine. But ask your hubby to take over kitchen duties - Oh and I ce water - lots of it!!!

I can relate to everything you said! One thing that I know works well is eating dried papaya.Drink peppermint tea too that helps.Almost every day when I get home from work I take a warm bath and crawl in bed with my book at least for an hour that seems to help me also.

hey guys thank you so much for all your responses. i haven't had the chance till now to get back on here. well, the sickness got really bad over the weekend. i have started to throw up at work now, running from my cubicle to the bathroom! i don't want to use all my sick days on freaking morning sickness, so i just have to tough it out.

i did go and get the preggie pops from motherhood maternity like you said. they work a little, but not a lot. i guess every woman is different. i also got christian this "I'm a Big Brother" book out of there. he loves it and is so excited. oh, he knows now by the way. and he is starting to tell strangers again. so, to avoid him telling my family, i haven't let him go over there (they live in baltimore), b/c i know he will. i am not ready for them to know yet. i have been drinking alot of milk, craving it. i hate soda and love water now too! which is the opposite of how i used to be. i hate the sight or thought of anything ranch. i do not like greasy foods or lunchmeat sandwiches/deli. i crave the burritos from mcdonalds breakfast menu with some hot salsa and a sweet tea! and i find peppermints good too. oh, and i love the lemons in lemonade. i read about that and it says they help curve morning sickness. i guess thats why i love it so much now. anything that makes me feel better, even if i didn't eat/drink it before. i'll take anything at this point. i am desperate. oh, i go to work late today. i have an orthodontic appt this morning. almost time for my braces to come off!!!! yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, and fyi, i also find that eating before i get the chance to get hungry helps curve the morning sickness. i think that is what really gets me sick, is taking too long to eat.

Get some fresh ginger and slice it up - add to boiling water and sip. Ginger helps with nausea and abdominal discomfort.

yes, that is what the girl said in the motherhood store. the preggie pops have diff. flavors and she said the ginger one is the best. i had it and it did help, however, the other flavors didn't really help me. but i will def. try the fresh ginger. this might sound like an airhead question, but do i get it at the grocery store in the produce section? i guess i could ask someone when i get there. i have never bought it so i don't even know what it looks like. i willl look online too. thanks. :)

I'm so glad you have found some ways to cope with the sickness. The eating before you get hungry is really important - it keeps your blood sugar from getting too low, which can make you feel more sick. Yes, you can buy ginger in the produce dept. of the grocery. It's got a thick skin like a potato, and is usually shaped kind of funny. Sorry, I know that's not much help lol!!
