From what I know, techs are not suppose to give you any kind of medical information. More than likely, he was just letting you know your baby was measuring a week ahead (They can tell you where you're measuring--at least mine did.) It seems odd to me though that he said something about a different due date rather than "You're 24 weeks but measuring 25." It's hard to say, but I would go with your doctor... Since your appointment is so far away, and this is causing you concern (it would me too) perhaps you should just give your doctor or doctor's assistant a call...they could probably have an answer for you pretty quickly. ↑ |
My due date was January 25th when I went for my sonogram the baby was measuring to Febuary 1st.. so the doctor says dues between 1-25 and 2-1 they are only a few days apart anyway... I still say Jan. 25th though..lol! ↑ |
Remember that you due date can be off by + or - 2 weeks so honestly both dates could in fact be correct. Maybe your dr mis judged or maybe the baby is big. ↑ |
Yah.... I guess a week isn't really that big of a deal anyway. Just last time I had my daughter I went a week over and he (my doc) still didn't induce me for a couple of days. I was miserable and then she came out big on top of it, LOL. I was just curious if anyones doctor's had changed their due date because the baby was bigger on the u/s. ↑ |
The policy at my dr.s office is that if there's more than a 10 day discrepency b/w the LMP due date and the u/s due date, then they go w/ the u/s. ↑ |
I was given 2 different due dates when i was pregnant that were 2 weeks apart! Then on top of that I passed the 2nd one by 5 days!!!!!!!!!! ↑ |
Needless to say my baby boy was (well done!!!!) lol! Healthy,8lbs. 5oz.! ↑ |
My first due date (at 1st drs. appointment) with Anthony was in December, after my 1st u/s it was in November, and my last one was Oct 27th. So, a couple weeks isn't anything to worry about. ↑ |
