Ok I hope this topic doesn't offend anyone, but I doubt it will. I'm worried that I'm going to lose my vaginal "tightness" after birth. I mean I know that Kegal's and stuff can help, but will it ever be the same as before. I'm pregnant and emotional and worried that I'm not going to satifsy Michael anymore b/c I'll be a "loosey goosey":) As it is now, we have an amazing sexual chemistry. I hear of elective surgeries where the go and tighten up the vaginal walls...is it going to be that bad or am I worrying about something trivial?

well i dunno about being looser, but my mother had an episiotimy ( I know that's totally spelled wrong) with her twins and afterwards they stitched her up too tight... she couldn't have sex so they had to go back in and recut her. I've never heard of anyone being too loose after birth though.

I dont know really. I dont think I was any different except I had nerve damage after Lexi that caused sex to hurt really bad. But loose wise I dont think I was any different.

I know it will never be the same. But you should still have all your same feelings and sensations which are needed.
The day after you give birth it might be a different story, but if you give it time it should still be working right.( this is all what I have heard)

I was stitched up too after I delivered my son and it was actually better because it made me tighter. It''s uncomfortable for a couple times but after that its fine...lol.

you wouldn't be looser at all. the vaginal walls act as an accordion when the baby travels through the birth canal. the vaginal walls are all scrunched up, tight before birth, then during child birth they expand to allow the baby through. after 6 weeks they return to their normal state.

After i had each of my three sons,i stayed the same as i was before. My theory is that a woman's vagina is always going to stay the same because your vagina can't get bigger and your vagina can't get smaller if that's not the way it was before, unless through surgery!I hope that was some help!LOL

Thanks guys...it's nice to get some good opinions. My mom and my best friend are like the only people I would talk to this about that have given birth, but they both had C-sections, so i don't think that they can really offer any advice. I'm just so scared of tearing, but like y'all said they can stitch that up.

Ummm... I didn't notice anything after I had my daughter. Everything felt the same to me. But, I just asked my boyfriend (cuz I was curious) and he said he noticed it to some degree but it didn't last for long. I don't know if he is telling the truth to me or not though..... Seems like he is just trying to get under my skin lately. Or maybe it's my crazy hormones??? :)~

I torn when I had my daughter and they stitched me up and it hurt for the longest time to have sex cause I was too tight. They even asked if I wanted a stitch extra and I said no but i torn anyway

YA'LL MIGHT THINK I'M CRAZY, BUT TODD TOLD ME I WAS "TIGHTER" AFTER I HAD CHRISTIAN. AND TO THIS DAY, SEX IS STILL JUST A LITTLE PAINFUL AT FIRST, BUT THEN ITS OK AFTER A FEW MINUTES. :) I DID NOT TEAR OR HAD TO BE "CUT" WHEN I HAD CHRISTIAN. MY OBSTETRICIAN WAS GREAT. SHE TOOK THE TIME TO GENTLY STRETCH MY VAGINA DOWN THERE AS HE WAS COMING OUT. EVEN THE RING OF FIRE HURT VERY BAD, BUT WHEN IT WAS ALL OVER, SHE SAID I DIDN'T TEAR ONE BIT! AND CHRISTIAN WAS 9 POUNDS!!!
