I am 20 weeks about to be 21 weeks in 2 days. I have noticed that in the last couple of weeks my nipples burn really bad at times. I'm not sure if thats normal or something i should worry about. I tried looking it up but can't find anything on it. I have a doc appt. tomorrow and will ask my doc but until then i am just wondering if its normal or if something is wrong with me.

i am also almost 21 weeks. my nipples are so sensitive and they throb. i think its the milk production. i read that aroud 20 weeks, the colostum, (the yellowish stuff the baby drinks the first couple days after birth) starts to produce. thats my guess. hope it helps.

i meant colostrum, not colostum.

Jen, My nipples don't throb they feel like they are on fire when i state that they are burning. I'm not sure if i'm just abnormal or if its normal.

i dont think its abnormal. weird stuff happens when we are preg. and everyone experiences things differently. what may be throbbing to me is like fire for you. i still think it has something to do with the milk glands and stuff. i cant imagine what else it would be. hope you feel better.

I actually went to see my doc and your right she says its my milk glands as well as the breast growings so it is just my hormones playing or doing its part and that i have nothing to worry about as long as there's no blood or anything. So I feel much much better. I am thankful that you replied and gave me your advice or opinion.
