Sometimes I get worried about my baby, and I can't wait for my next doctor's appointment. This might sound really stupid, but I'll take a pregnancy test just to make sure I'm still ok. If something happened to the baby, would the pregnancy test still be positive?

well a preg test will stay pos until you hcg levels have droped below 100-50 and by then trust me you would know if you were having a m/c. How far along are you?? It is very common to worry about you baby. I am worried all the time. Not so much that I will m/c but that something is wrong with the baby. I am renting a fetal doppler so taht I can hear the baby's heart beat it is just like the one at the dr office. Another girl on here told me about them. You can get one form www.heartbeatsathome.com they rent from 28-60 per month depending on the style you choose. Maybe being able to hear the heart will set you a bit more at ease. Good luck

I'm 12 weeks. Thanks for the info on the doppler...I was wondering about that. Maybe I'll look into it. It would make me feel so much better to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat whenever I wanted to. :) Good luck to you too!

I've was the same way with both my first pregnancy and now with my second. But now that I am 27 weeks and 2 days my baby I am constantly able to feel my baby move so the only time I panic now is when I don't feel her. But as jillw mentioned it is common to worry especially when you are early in your pregnancy when you don't always feel your baby move because he/she has so much room to move around.

I have not heard good things about the ones at the local stores. My sister has a bebe sounds one and she is 20 weeks and she still has lots of interference. When I use mine it is just like being at the dr's office.

that's good to know though...$20 isn't a bad investment for something like that. I would be listening all day long though...lol

I purchase the Bebe sound when I was pregnant with my son and I ended up throwing it in the garbage. Some people say that they had luck with it but I didn't.

I was the same way when I first got pregnant, I just kept taking tests and taking tests just to make sure they would still turn out positive. I think you can still test positive if you are beginning to miscarry which always freaked me out. Because, what I was told, your HCG levels won't just suddenly drop to a pre-pregnancy level, they will just gradually decrease. And this worry doesn't go away, I prayed to get to the point where I could feel my baby move and thought: "Once I can feel the baby move, I'll stop worrying." Now, I'm 26 weeks and freak out if she doesn't move for awhile! So, if it is not one worry, it's another. Welcome to the wonderful world of motherhood!
