I woke up this morning and I had some spotting - it is brownish. I don't have any accompanying severe cramping or pain - just the usual twinging I felt throughout the pregnancy so far. Has anyone else had this?

At eleven weeks I had the same thing. It ended up lasting for about 9 days... At six days I finally got the doctors to bring me in for an ultrasound cuz I needed to know if my baby was dying. They brought me in for the ultrasound, and not only was Baby doing great, there was nothing wrong with the placenta, cervix, or uterus, and they concluded that my bleeding was just due to "First Trimester Bleeding." They said it's perfectly common for women in their first trimester to spot, and sometimes even have their period. Hope that helps ease your mind a bit. I think you should still call your doctor to let them know, anyway, just in case.

I had the same thing going with my pregnancy at just about 7 weeks and my doctor said that it was just implantation bleeding which can happen at the time the fertilized egg implants in the uterus. Needless to say it still scared me and I made my doctor do an ultrasound too like emilymccoy said because I was worried. But, everything looked good.

yeah I had the same thing at 6.5 weeks...they told me it was nothing, and they said it could be implantation blood that's been in there for a while...and that's why it's brown.

I think you had implantation bleeding and your body is just now disposing of it, and that's why it's brown, because it's old.
