Hey are you here? Drank some O.J. w/castor oil. Hopefully it puts me into labor, if not I'll be sittin on the shitter all night. I'm all alone. No Jaylen until later next week. What am I going to do withmyself? Well I guess I can sleep all day tomorrow since I probably won't tonight. ↓

| good. no labor or anything, I just read to wait and if labor doesn't start between 2-3 hrs, to repeat. I took castor oil w/my son and it worked with him. So since I'm already dilated to 4 and showing signs of labor, this stuff should work! Hopefully we'll go into labor ;) ↑ |

| well, it sucks, I was outside most of the day playing with my son, I was actually running after the soccer ball, well more like wobbling. The baby's so low that I feel my pubic bone is about to break, I'm basically walking around bow legged with a hand on my back. I hope it's not like this when I get old ↑ |

| woo woo lets not start this again. This poor woman has tried everything to go naturally lol she was even stimulating her own nipples last night. If this is what she wants to do then ok. I understand that different people have different views on it but she has a break from her 2 yr old son for a week and this would be the perfect bonding time for her and her new son. ↑ |

| thx nicole. Anyway, it doesn't put you into labor because it dehydrates you, it puts you into labor because it stimulates you bowel which then stimulates your uterus! Anyway my midwife says it's safe, so it's ok. I have a glass of water sitting next to me, and a bunch of gatorade in the fridge, so tnx for the concern, but we'll be fine. ↑ |

The theory behind this mechanism, in which Castor Oil induces labor, is that the remedy causes diarrhea cramps by irritating the smooth muscles of the intestine. This irritation is passed to the uterus, which is a smooth muscle, as well. Irritation of the uterus increases the prostaglandin level, resulting in contractions and labor.
