I do now that oftentimes Braxton_hicks can be very painful, at least that's what they said in my childbirth class. Try to get up and walk...if they're realy contractions, changing positions won't alleviate the pain. I would call the dr. if you're worried though...nothing's more important than the well-being of you and your baby. ↑ |
well i decided i would wait until after i ate lunch to do my kick count again and if she doesn't move like she should i am going to call the doctor but so far i got some kicks so she just needed a little food i guess =) thank you though. ↑ |
start counting how many times you feel her move in a hour. call you dr with this info and she will be able to tell you if there is cause for concern ↑ |
thank you i have been doing them and its been more than 10 in an hour and they say that is good. i was just worried because she is usually really active all day but today it was just after i ate. i was just worried because of being up all night suffering horrible braxton hicks. i have never expirenced pain like this. then trying to get out of bed to walk around makes them hurt so much worse ( just the getting out of bed part) once i get moving i'm fine. i'm going to start sleeping on the couch it is lower to the ground making it easier for me to get up lol. ↑ |
HA...Braxton hicks are suppose to be painless. When I had them with my son I was in alot of pain. I feared that when I actually went into labor my labor contraction would be just as bad or worse. Well that wasn't the case. Infact when I went into labor I didn't even know I was in labor because I didn't feel a thing.
Since you are noticing that your baby isn't moving as often I would start counting how often she move in an hour. By 28 weeks you should feel your baby move at least 10 times in a 2 hour period. If she slows down or it takes her longer to reach the 10 times contact your doctor ASAP and let him/her know you are going to the ER. ↑ |
I'm on my first pregnancy and apparently not at the point yet when BH contractions show up. All I know is that most Dr's offices have an emergency line for that reason. That's why they are there and don't feel bad about calling, it's their job. Whoever answers your call is being paid "on call" time. If you are scared and you feel like something is wrong, don't hesitate to call. ↑ |
