ok so i go in today for my checkup (im 32+5) i tell the doctor i been getting period like cramps at the top of my right leg and been getting really sharp vagina pains. he checks me and says the cervix is closed, babies heartbeat is in the 150s,and ive lost a pound.he isnt worried at all about the weight because ive already gained over 20lbs and says the baby seems fine.anyhow when he checked my insides he used a brush like tool and said he was sending it to get checked for me to call tomorrow early in the evening to get the results.he explained that it was being tested to see if the cramps and pains are preterm labor related .he also says no matter the results he will have to talk to me. so my question to this is....if it is prelabor what will he do,try to stop it? and what the hell is he talking about that even if it isnt prelabor we'll have to talk about why im getting these, what else could be causing these problems?

sometimes you can get infections which cause you to go into pre-term labour. I think at 32 weeks they would try and give you steriods and stop it but sometimes it can not be stopped.
Try googling it, you never know there might be a bit of info. I had a kidney infection a while back and shared a room with a girl who ws in pre term labour and she was given injections every 4 hours to stop the contractions. It seemed to work, she was only 25 weeks though.
