i've been doing this since I was in 8th grade and now I'm 21! I 'm keeping food down, but it is like I think it is okay to binge and purge since I kept food down early! I' m so worried my baby is going to be harmed! I really need help! Should I admit myself somewhere for the babies sake?

Hello, i dont know anything bout bein pregnant but please get help. First of all as much as this sounds selfish you gota look after yourself and be 'healthy' if you have a baby growing inside you.

i think you should speak to a doctor atleast ASAP. cus you have got a baby to look after. if you need to talk im here, just think how you would feel if your baby is born and there is something wrong with the little one. cus first of all, anyone that makes themselves sick doesnt get all the nutrients e.t.c that they need so hows ur baby going to be getting enough to be healthy,

hope this helps

Im 20 years old, 7 weeks pregnant, and am still fighting bulimia. I was worried that i'd harm the baby so i've cut wayy back and just started dealing with the fact that the baby needs food. If you ever need to talk...just let me know.

I am 22 years old and 15 1/2 weeks pregnant, like you, I have been battling bulimia since I was 15, I never got morning sickness and the doctors told me a specific wieght I should gain throughout the pregnancy so, I freaked out. After eating I would throw-up and justify my actions with it being the same as having morning sickness...then I realized that I am depriving my baby of much needed nutrients. I spoke with my doctor and she recommended me to a counselor and nutritionist. Now I am eating better and it makes me feel better about food, I am also on a moderate exercise plan. I want to give my baby the best start at life possible. I advise you do the same. Good Luck

I am 36 and still suffer from bulimia. I started at age 15. I have 2 girls aged 10 & 11. I purged throughout both pregnancies gaining only 7 lbs with my last child. I am still suffering. I think you should get some professional help now while it's still early. I can now see the early signs of what could be a future eating disorder in one of my girls and the guilt is tremendous. Take care of this now and set a good example for your baby.
