Is it possible to get over bulimia without gaining weight? I know everyone says you have to get yourself on a healthy diet, etc. but is there really any way to start off just barely eating and then slowly ease your way into eating normal? I really, really want to stop throwing up but I also refuse to accept weight gain as an option. Surely there must be some way to do this and get my metabolism back to normal eventually. I don't want to be anorexic either. I want to somehow fix my metabolism without gaining any weight in the mean time. Does anyone have any recommendations of how I can ease my body back into digesting food?

Hi, I understand you perfectly. I am bulimic (off and on), but when I resorted back to eatinig normally, I ate..and didn't throw up. I tried this for a few months and didn't gain weight. My suggestion to you, eat when you're hungry..and don't cut out nutrients (even good fats) that are good for you.

The thought of gaining weight can be paralizing. But you know what?....In life, you have to give a little bit of something in exchange for something much greater...YOUR HEALTH GIRL! Don't let such thought ruin your chances of being free from this EVIL trap! Whether its a few pounds you gain from getting on the right track, your body weight will stablize itself as you continue to become healthy again. =) Good luck!
