My husband and I decided to try for a family, the day we decided to start trying was the day I decided to stop starving myself and throwing up the little I did put in me. We got pregnant right away and I am a little over 5 months to date. The first month I gained 8 pounds and now I am a total of 15 pounds. I don't mind the belly, but my hips and legs make me ill. I refuse to go back to the way I was for this baby (I even go to the bathroom with the door open so I won't be tempted to puke), but I am so freaked about after I have this baby. For those of you who's story's a little like mine did your body go pretty much back after you had your baby? What did you do to keep from freaking out. I was in the normal range before I got preggers not under weight.

I just had a baby too, and I am bulimic. I too was in the normal range and I think your idea of keeping the bathroom door open is a great start to keep those ED demons away. I wasn't always good during my preg. but I did try hard. Now that she has been born, it is a very hard thing not to go to the bathroom to be rid of food, but I am trying to be good especially for her. I wish I could be the strong support system you were probably looking for, but I am weak in this way at times and i just want you to know that as long as we try our best, we will get better. Baby steps you know? Just stay focused on the real reason why you have to keep food down. You can lose the weight later. I gained 11 lbs. in the first seven weeks, so you sound like you are doing great. Hang in there.

What message are you sending out to your children?

Beat this now, before they start to notice and become just like you.

hey i was never pregnat because i am too young but i do have some advice for you. you dont have to go back to the way you were before becsuse you could always go to the gym after you have the baby or something but you dont have to throw up or starve yourself.
and alot of women dont even have to work out or anything to get back into shape because they just lose the wayt naturally pretty kwikly.
and just to convice yourself not to puke think about the baby. what if you start to throw up and stuff wile you are still pregnat? the baby could come put to be really ill or they could even take the kid away from you maybe. i dont know but i am just trying to help people that need it but i will also need help because i think that i am going anorexic. if you have any questions or advice for me can u plz email me at [email protected] but plz dont let tis email address get out.

If you do just get sick don't blame your self it is just morning sickness. I had morning sickness and couldn't keep down a thing and well I couldn't even keep down my drink I had morning sickness so bad. I was told to take this nausia pill and it made me sleep but i kept my food down. And well I have the most healthy baby boy. No I don't have a eating disorder but I do know some one who did!!

just got a computer, i`m 34 and never know there were sites like this, congrats on your pregnancy, i am bulimic and have been since i was 11. i gave birth 2.6 years ago, i did throw up when pregnant and still feel the guilt it was not very much at al but i did my daughter was breech bottom first which i have since found out is connected but what i would say is i was always between 11-13.7 stone before my daughter now i`m always around 9 stone and i am slim sometime too slim for the first time in my adult life. I thuoght when i gor pregnant, i`m going to get fat i`m going to try and go with it and go on a diet of a life time after. I was 14.7 stone when i gave birth 1st oct 03 by the end of january i was 9 stone. I think my body changed i never lost weight that rapidly before. So many people have said since the same thing happened to them and more babies they had the slimmer they got. I did go on a major diet within 5 days of birth. Back to normal bulimia now but still 2 years on 9 stone give or take half stone with summer/winter. Never felt as amazing as i do now. still always feel fat but kind of know i`m not. People always say your so tiny and i still think that really strange. Take care, good luck enjoy. Your doing very well and should be proud of yourself.
