First you say your eating disorder is under control but 700 calories is not enough food intake prior to your pregnancy thats a good increase considering were you are coming from , but I advise if you are not still in some sort of therapy that you be , a reguluar non active indivdual should have a minimum of 1200 calories and a max of 2000 depending upon how active you are and how much you excercise .. once you become pregnant you should increase your reguluar calories to between 300 and 400 , so at 1800 you are fine and ten pounds is nothing I am ten weeks pregnant I excercise and eat healthy and have gained 7 pounds allready. As long as you gain what you are supposed to , considering because of your condition you were probably under weight so you should gain 30 pounds , then it will come off easily after the baby is born , and anything extra will come off in its own time , as long as you are eating healthy and getting moderate excercise don't worry about it , every women has that fear, its normal. ↑ |
Hi,
I gave birth two months ago and gained a total of 25 lbs. I was afraid like you because I had always been bulimic....I hope you have it under control, I thank God was able to, because you can harm the baby. Please make sure you do exercise and diet properly....weight gain is inavitable as your body needs to store fat in order for your baby to be healthy and that body fat you will loose with breastfeeding, the rest will come off little by little. It is true that your body is different after giving birth, mine is but it is so worth it once you have that beautiful creature infront of your eyes and hear the first cry, it is a wonderful thing I can't really explain, you will see for yourself...by the way Congratulations and take care of the little angel. I used to train for fitness so if you want I can give you certain tips in nutrition without you harming yourself and now most importantly your baby. ↑ |
I can totally relate. I am 18 weeks pregnant--I think I have gained 10 pounds already--I thought I would gain the weight later on. I exercise and eat normal. I am in treatment for an eating disorder/depression. I don't want to harm the baby by not eating but I don't want to be fat either. ↑ |
