We are all strangers on this board so she is talking to strangers! Folks that are trying to send her to a couseler or Dr are saying that they can not help her That she should talk to someone who can. When you have a broken bone you go to the drs so when you are bulimic & cutting you need to get professional help. Even a school counseler might be able to direct you to help.
After you chose to star this cycle of eating disorder it is hard to stop people become addicted to it.
Even if we know what someone feels like does not make us qualified to help!!!!!

This is not a game my daughter died from this illness last week she would not get the help she needed and talked to people that are not Drs. and it killed her.

If they call a hot line people know how to help and how they feel.

Before some else dies.

Hey! um What are the symptoms he's showing? Cause teenage boys tend to lose a fair bit of weight as they get older but usually they eat a lot more.
Is he over weight? Has he recently shown interest in girls but maybe been rejected? Is he starting to really focus on his looks eg his hair what he wears when going out with his mates? Cause when your 16 it can kind of take one blow (one girl saying no) and that will automatically trigger the "whats wrrong with me" thing.

Sorry just read the rest of the message. The signs would kind of be:
*Not eating breakfast (although my brother never does) but if he used to but suddenly stopped it could be a sign.
*When he takes his lunch he comes home and it is still in his bag, or if he might have thrown away andd not eaten it then he may come home really snappy and exhausted as lack of food really plays on your body.
*He may spend all of his time in his room avoiding the kitchen (cause you know how teenage boys really like to snack out after school) and he may miss dinner, which iff he is try and make it compulsary to eat dinner, don't give him the option of wether he wants it or not.
*If your really concerned maybe jjust make sure you stock up on some of his favourite foods and somehow witthout directly saying it make him aware that they are there.

Its not as common for guys to be that body conscious they usually turn to exercisse and try and build their muscles ya know!!

Well if you have any questions feel free or if you can think of any more info =)

10% of those who are aniorexic are boys. So it is not that odd. my boyfriend was anerexic/bulimic and got really sick. i am not aloud to see him anymore cause his parents think that i am going to presure him into an eating disorder again. but i was the one who got him help.

you just need to come out and ask him. but you cant make him eat, because then he might become bulimic. Make sure he knows that when an eating disorder is over, you gain back even more weight then what you started with.
