my sister told me to lose weight take laxatives? what do they do besides make you poop? also what is w the chewing gum? i want to lose more weight but i still want to eat,,, ANY HELP OR POINTERS?

don't start taking laxatives. i've been bulimic for 13 years, using laxatives, and i've damaged my body so badly that i can't go to the bathroom without them. you don't want to get into the cycle of hell and you lose control. seek out a doctor's advice. don't take laxatives! much love - melonhead

dont do it. I regret it. There are other ways for doing it. and this way will not keep the weight off for you. Try working out.. and dont drink during meals it speeds up your metabolism and not drinking DURING the meal allows the acids in your stomach to perform and digest your foods faster. Im not saying dont drink.. just wait like 30 minutes after your meal. Good luck.

Your sister is nuts laxitives make you loose water weight its a quick fix for a few pounds plus everything you just ate comes right out, but if you don't need them they will mess you up and chewing gum helps put aside hunger momentarly , its good you are taking a healthy approach , first look at your height to weight ratio even talk to your doctor about what a healthy amount is for you to loose. Then get into a good excercise program weight lifting , lots of cardio and learn to eat healthy things , lean protiens whole grains fruits veggies , all the good for you stuff learn to look at labels and count fat content and calories so you know you are getting enough fat and calories for you but not to many excess ones.

By pooping you are getting rid of more waste therefore losing more weight and chewing gives you the false idea that you are eatting and helps keep you mind off of real food for awhile at least therefore you may lose weight because you are eatting less often.
